Thompson, CT — The American-Canadian Tour got the second day of the Sunoco World Series off to a strong start with their Sunoco World Series 75. Brandon Barker and Tom Carey III lead the way to the green flag just before former Thompson Late Model champion Brian Tagg dove sideways across the frontstretch grass to call out the lone caution. The international roster of drivers kept it lean and green after that, even as several drivers fell out with mechanical issues throughout the 75-lap sprint. In the end, Tom Carey III backed up his September extra-distance win to claim his third career American-Canadian Tour win in the ‘Brookside Ride’ while former Seekonk Speedway champion Ryan Kuhn kept him honest, following just a car-length behind through the second half of the event to claim second. Polesitter Brandon Barker held on to take third over Quebec’s Jonathan Bouvrette. (more…)

Wolcott’s Marcel Gravel Takes Career Defining, Emotional Win in 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl
Barre, VT — Following the annual pomp and circumstance of the annual season ending classic, the brave drivers of the American-Canadian Tour took on the first of three Segments in the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Polesitter Gabe Brown jumped ahead to lead the pack early while collecting the first lap money of the event along with Marcel Gravel in second and Jimmy Hebert in third. Driving hard on the outside lane, Gravel launched to lead lap nine with Hebert and previous Milk Bowl winners Jason Corliss and Chris Pelkey in tow. A trio of mid-race, quick cycle cautions slowed the segment for heart-pounding restarts before Marcel Gravel claimed the opening segment win with Jason Corliss, Brown, Hebert and Pelkey rounding out the top five. Barre, VT — Starting off the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl weekend in style, Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day set the tone for the annual end-of-season extravaganza at Barre’s Thunder Road. Forty-seven American-Canadian Tour / Maplefields-Irving Late Models took on the highbanks in the once-a-year single car time trials with Kaiden Fisher and Derek Gluchacki taking fast time before technical inspection stripped them of their efforts with tread width deemed too wide by officials. Outlaw Open Modified Dash for Cash Returns to Sunoco World Series Friday, October 11th
Naples, ME & Barre, VT — Back by popular demand, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today that the Outlaw Open Modified Series will make it’s grand return to Thompson Speedway as part of the Friday night opener to the 62nd Sunoco World Series on October 11th. The $5,000-to-win Dash for Cash will once again feature a $5,000 winner’s share with just a four-tire limit for their 50-lap sprint around the 0.625-mile oval!
