Macri Checks Off A Bucket List Win At Grandview & Pockets $10,000 In Hodnett Cup Speed Week Victory, Pauch Prevails In Thrilling Mod Thunder Doubleheader Tuesday NightBECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 30, 2026) — A packed house filled Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night as the Levan Machine & Truck Equipment Thunder on the Hill Racing Series hosted the fifth stop of Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speed Week Series of 2026.   “The Concrete Kid” Anthony Macri earned one of the biggest victories of his career by capturing the prestigious Hodnett Cup and the $10,000 top prize, while Billy Pauch Jr. outdueled Eddie Strada and a field of forty-two modifieds to win the 30-lap NASCAR 358 Modified feature paying $3,000 to win.   The fans were treated to outstanding, nonstop racing as both feature events went the distance without a single caution flag.

“I’ve wanted to win here so bad. This is a bucket list win that I finally get to check off,” said Macri after earning his first career Thunder on the Hill victory.

Riverhead RacewayChase Grennan of Glen Cove is quickly gaining a reputation among the NASCAR Modified ranks at Riverhead Raceway, and it’s one the 18-year-old second generation driver is proud to bear. After Chase survived a wild Oval Speed Unlimited Bubba 150 Saturday earning his third career win, he again sat in victory lane after another signature race at the historic bullring. Grennan started things off by winning the Islip 300 last November, then earlier in June won the 75th Anniversary Flying Dutchman Tribute before his $7,166 triumph in the Bubba 150.

When the dust settled defending champion John Beatty, who went winless during his championship run last year scored his first win since June 4th, 2022, the 11th of his career.

Sheldon Haudenschild appeared poised for a third straight US 36 Raceway victory on Friday night. He’d taken the lead early and sliced through plenty of traffic as he led the opening 20 circuits. Over the first 115-laps of the Miller Lite 200 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Riverhead Raceway Saturday a combination of Tom Rogers Jr. of Riverhead, Dave Brigati of Calverton and Kyle Soper of Manorville showed the way. For awhile it appeared Ed Brunnhoelzl Jr. who was the last Riverhead regular to win a WMT race in 1995 would witness that 26-year mark erased.
