HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – Fresh off his second NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win of the season at Monadnock Speedway last weekend, three-time champion Justin Bonsignore is ready for a return home this weekend. Bonsignore will begin the busy summer stretch at his home track, Riverhead Raceway, on Saturday, June 25, in the Buzz Chew 200.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Team DGR’s Todd Gilliland Wins Knoxville, Steals Opportunity To Win A Spot In The Playoffs
Team DGR called upon the expertise of NASCAR Cup Series driver Todd Gilliland to pilot their No. 17 Ford at Knoxville Raceway last weekend and the decision paid off big-time with a trip to Victory Lane, the first for the organization this season. Ultimately the win was great for Gilliland, but for the drivers vying for the final five spots in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoffs, it stole a chance for one of the championship contenders to lock themselves into the postseason with a win.
Doug Coby Looks For Second Straight Riverhead Win with Tommy Baldwin Racing in Buzz Chew 200; Welcomes Mayhew Tools To The 7NY
MILFORD, Conn. – After years of coming close, Doug Coby finally broke into NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Victory Lane at Riverhead Raceway last season. His first Riverhead win seemed to open the flood gates – as the Milford, Connecticut, six-time Whelen Modified Tour champion has won three of the last four races at the track. In the only other event, he was racing at the front early before contact sidelined him from the race.
Grennan & Braun Snag Riverhead Raceway Wins Before Rain Halts Program
According to local weather experts it was supposed to be a pleasant final weekend of spring on Long Island. However suddenly Saturday evening a “clipper system” from the Northeast blew in and brought rain to Riverhead Raceway ending the program 25-laps into a scheduled 40-lap Crate Modified feature. NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour To Close Out June At Riverhead Raceway
Summer officially kicks off Saturday night June 25th at Riverhead Raceway as the stars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour roll to Riverhead Raceway for the Buzz Chew Chevrolet 200, the second of three WMT events at the demanding quarter mile facility.
