Lou Modestino Track TalkDenny Hamlin won the Cup race at the World Wide Technology Raceway.   Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finished fifth with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT placing 13th.

Conner Zilisch won the Xfinity event.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT came in 13th, and Thomas Annunziata of NJ ended up 20th.

Riverhead RacewayForecasts for a wet weekend on Long Island became reality Saturday forcing NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour officials and Riverhead Raceway management to rest the Eddie Partridge 256 WMT program to Saturday October 4th. With the forecasted rain predicted to hit right in the middle of WMT practice and or qualifying Saturday and lasting into Sunday the decision to move the event back a month was made early Saturday morning.

With Playoff Victory, Denny Hamlin Nears Personal Milestone

Denny Hamlin, Joe Gibbs RacingMADISON, Ill. — Denny Hamlin spent much of his post-race press conference relishing the freedom he earned with Sunday’s victory in the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.

With his ticket already punched for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs’ Round of 12, Hamlin can race with abandon next Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, while others are scrambling to keep their title hopes alive.

NASCAR Whelen Modified TourDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 6, 2025) – NASCAR and Riverhead Raceway officials have postponed this weekend’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event due to a forecast of continued rain for this weekend. The race has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 4. The start time will be announced at a later date.
