NASCAR Xfinity Series News & Notes – Post-Atlanta
Justin Allgaier’s 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season didn’t start out the way he had hoped. In five races, the driver of the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet had only one top-10 finish. Allgaier had been involved in various on-track incidents and started the season at Daytona International Speedway by starting second and finishing 28th. But he turned that all around at Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend by winning the race and taking home his first victory of the season all while punching his ticket to the Playoffs. (more…)
TeamSLR: The Kids Are Alright
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (March 24, 2021) – TeamSLR took its youth movement all the way to victory lane last Sunday at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Roval in the TA2 class of the Trans Am ProAm Challenge. NASCAR Xfinity Series News & Notes – Phoenix Raceway
AJ Allmendinger took the lead on the final restart of Saturday’s race in Sin City with 12 laps remaining and earned his fourth Xfinity Series win in the last 16 races. This was his first race at the track in three years and the No. 16 Kaulig Chevrolet was able to hold off a hard-charging Daniel Hemric, who led 74 of the 200 laps. (more…)

Ty Gibbs, grandson of team owner Joe Gibbs, made history last weekend at the Daytona Road Course. Gibbs, who was making his first career start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, won the race in the No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing and added his name to the list of drivers that won in their first Xfinity start. Every season (1995-2021), except a small stint between 2001-2012, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has had a road course on the schedule in some form or fashion. This season, the series has embraced road racing like never before. The 2021 Truck Series schedule has four road courses listed – Daytona Road Course, Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Watkins Glen International and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park – the most of any season in series history. NextEra Energy 250 – Drew Dollar – No. 51 JBL Tundra Camping World Trucks Preview
Drew Dollar will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut behind the wheel of the No. 51 JBL Tundra in Friday night’s season-opening event at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway as part of an eight-race schedule with Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) in 2021. Dollar showed a knack for superspeedway racing last year in the ARCA Menards Series, winning at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway last June and delivering a third-place finish at Daytona last February. ARCA Menards Series – Season-Opener at Daytona Features Familiar Contenders
A few weeks after the tease that was the ARCA Menards Series test at Daytona International Speedway, the real deal arrives Saturday, Feb. 13.
The tradition of starting the ARCA Menards Series season at the World Center of Racing continues for the 42nd consecutive year with the Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire. But for the first time, the season-opener in 2021 will run the day before the Daytona 500 as part of a Saturday doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series. (more…)
