SMART Celebrating Modified Racing Legacy at Franklin County

As NASCAR teams and fans celebrate the past this weekend at Darlington Raceway, the Tour-type Modified teams of the Southeast are getting a similar and slightly-impromptu chance to do the same this Saturday at an old hot spot for Modified racing.

With Bowman Gray Stadium’s 2021 Opening Day being pushed to June 5, the SMART Modified Tour has stepped up once again this year, as the tour will head into Virginia for the second time this season, this time to historic Franklin County Speedway. (more…)

Outlaw Open Entries Released for First Two Thompson Speedway Wednesday Shows

Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have released the entry forms for the next two Outlaw Open Modified Series events at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The Nutmeg State 75 on Wednesday, June 16 and the Spirit of 76 on Wednesday, July 7 are part of a six-division card for the track’s 82^nd summer of racing.

Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) and Speed51.com to Promote Grassroots Racing

CONCORD, N.C. (May 7, 2021) – Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) and Speed51.com have formed a partnership ahead of SRX’s inaugural season with Speed51.com serving as the series’ short-track content marketing partner for the 2021 season.

SRX is a six-race short-track series airing this summer on Saturday nights in primetime on CBS. It features drivers from an array of motorsports backgrounds competing in identically prepared racecars on a variety of tracks. (more…)

Tyler Tomassi Looks To Break Into Victory Lane With GSPSS at Star Speedway

WALPOLE, N.H. — Rising Super Late Model driver Tyler Tomassi will look to break into Victory Lane for the first time with the Granite State Pro Stock Series this Saturday, May 8 at Star Speedway. Although Tomassi has no previous laps at Star, he’s hoping to become a quick study of the tricky New Hampshire oval and be there at the end of the Hedges Excavating 100.

RoC Modifieds Returning to Chemung, NY This Weekend

Chemung, N.Y. – (May 1, 2021) – Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome will provide the stage for the Race of Champions Modified Series return to racing in its home state of New York. The series was “idle” in the Empire State during the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic that wreaked havoc worldwide. Belsito Prevails in GSPSS Triple 20s at Mad Dog

Aunique race format and an ill-handling car were not enough to slow Angelo Belsito down on Sunday afternoon, as he dominated the Granite State Pro Stock Series show at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH. Belsito was able to outpace the entire field en route to his fourth victory in the Granite State Pro Stock Series and first at the ¼-mile New Hampshire bullring known as “Mad Dog.”

Granite State Pro Stock Series Heads to Monadnock Speedway For Race Two

Waterbury, VT & Naples, ME — The Sunday program of the annual Icebreaker at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 10 at approximately 5:30pm. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials made the decision due to an inclement weather forecast for Sunday, April 11. Matt Hirschman Nips Austin Beers in Photo Finish at Mahoning Valley

You couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the season at Mahoning Valley Speedway with an incredible Modified finish that was decided by a whisker by two drivers who came from deep in the pack as 13th starting Matt Hirschman nipped Austin Beers, who drove to the lead from 16th on the grid, for the win in the opening round of the John Blewett Inc., Mahoning Valley Speedway Hall of Fame Series Bill Teel Tribute, equally exiting action in the support classes, a sun splashed afternoon and a five division program that was in the books in just a bit over four hours. Ryan Preece Prevails in Modified Showdown at South Boston
