CORDELE, GA – Officials with SpeedFest, Track Enterprises, and Cordele Motor Speedway have announced that SpeedFest 2026 has been rescheduled and will now be contested as part of the 14th Annual Georgia Summer Nationals, featuring a SpeedFest / SuperFest doubleheader weekend on Friday–Saturday, July 31–August 1.

CORDELE, GA – With race weekend set to begin, SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway is shaping up to deliver another standout edition as strong pre-entry lists have been filed across all divisions for the season-opening event, which also doubles up as Super Fest event #1 at the track.
The ASA Southern Super Series Super Late Model and Southern Pro Series Pro Late Model fields feature a deep lineup of championship contenders, race winners, and NASCAR stars, reinforcing SpeedFest’s reputation as one of the premier early-season events in short track racing.
CORDELE, GA – For more than two decades, SpeedFest has stood as one of the most respected and anticipated events in pavement short track racing, earning its reputation as the unofficial start of the racing season for drivers and fans across the country.
First contested in 2005, SpeedFest was originally promoted by CRA founders R.J. Scott and Glenn Luckett and held at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida. The event quickly gained momentum, serving as an early proving ground for rising stars and established veterans alike. SpeedFest was held at USA International Speedway for four seasons before the facility was sold and permanently closed.

Super & Pro Late Model Online Entry Now Open for SpeedFest at Cordele Motor Speedway
Cordele, GA — Online entry is now officially open for Super Late Models and Pro Late Models for the 2026 running of SpeedFest, set for Friday–Saturday, January 23–24, 2026 at Cordele Motor Speedway. The popular season-opening event is now just one month away and will once again showcase some of the best short track competitors in the country.
While he might not run nearly as many races as he did at the start of his racing career, Ryan Moore, formerly of Maine, continues to find his way to short track events along the East Coast. But, there are still some he second-generation driver has yet to attend. This weekend, Moore is checking off one of the big ones as he heads to Cordele, Georgia for SpeedFest 2022. (more…)
Saturday’s SpeedFest 2022 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, will feature Modifieds for the first time as a combination event between the Midwest Modifieds Tour and the Modifieds of Mayhem. Hudson, NH’s Derek Griffith’s top-notch 2021 racing season ended with the start of a new opportunity which will run throughout 2022, running in top Pro Late Model events through the Southeast for sponsor turned car owner Tyler Porter. While their first outing in the Snowflake 100 at 5 Flags Speedway did not generate storylines, it provided Griffith, Porter, and the Louie Mechalides(Lowell, MA)-led crew a springboard for the new year.
