Root will be driving his family owned #80 Saybrook Rentals Chevrolet with his father, Norm, Jr. serving as his crew chief.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2025 season at Stafford Speedway, hometown company McKinney Construction will return to the track’s contingency program. McKinney will provide a weekly $100 bonus to each 2nd place finisher from Stafford’s SK Light Modified feature events. During the 2024 season 12 different drivers earned a contingency bonus from McKinney Construction.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway Late Model driver Chris Buffone enters the 2025 season looking to build on his NAPA Rookie of the Year campaign, where he posted a season-best finish of 5th along with 9 top-10 finishes in 19 races. Buffone finished the year in 14th place in the Late Model standings, but he was satisfied with how his rookie season unfolded for both himself and his #07 Tom O’Sullivan Welding Team. (more…)
