Tom Fearn, driver of the #92 King Gray Coach Lines Chevrolet, will mark his 40th season of racing when he rolls out for the 53rd Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® on Saturday, April 26th. Fearn began his career at Riverside Park Speedway during the 1985 season and kicked off his Stafford career in the 1988 Fall Final.

Currently, Trott plans to moonlight in both the Street Stock and Late Model divisions after acquiring a Late Model car during the off-season while the team is looking to rent out their Street Stock cars. However these plans are subject to change.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Much like teams and drivers are getting geared up for the 2025 season at Stafford Speedway, Casella Waste is gearing up for a huge season at Stafford. Casella Waste will continue its role as a title sponsor by sponsoring the Inaugural Casella Waste SK Modified® 80, set for Friday, June 6th. Casella Waste had been the title sponsor of the Casella Waste Open 80 the past two seasons and are now transferring that title sponsorship to the newly created SK Modified® 80.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Heading into the 2025 season at Stafford Motor Speedway, Late Model driver Paul Varricchio, Jr. and his #39 Tavern On The Trax team have their sights set high. Varricchio is coming off his best ever season at Stafford, having recorded his first 2 career Late Model feature victories and finishing second in the standings behind Kevin Gambacorta.
“The outlook for 2025 is to win every race possible and win the Stafford Speedway Late Model championship,” said Varricchio. “That’s our goal and with our team and car I feel like we got this. We just have to maintain our cool throughout the season and go from there. It’s no good if the driver is falling out of his tree every week and this year we’re not going to look at points because that really killed us last year.
Modified and Supermodified winner Jon McKennedy announced Thursday a busy schedule for the 2025 racing season. Again for 2025, McKennedy will compete in both the Tour-Type Modifieds and the Supermodifieds, mixed between multiple different divisions with both classes.
Between all divisions, McKennedy has roughly 35 races planned.
The new season is right around the corner for short-track veteran Woody Pitkat. Officially announced Tuesday, Pitkat will return to compete full-time with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in 2025. The series has jumped to a 10-race schedule for the new year, spread across seven different tracks from March to October.
Pitkat will drive for Jett Motorsports on the Tri-Track Series – a team owned by Jariah Roderick and Steve Rollins. The team will run eight of the 10 events with the No. 88, sponsored by Infinity Homes, Gunsmoke Stables and USNE Power.
Teddy Hodgdon Racing announced today their schedule for the 2025 season in the No. 55 Tour-Type Modified – one that will bring the team up and down the East Coast. For the first time in his career, driver Teddy Hodgdon will make five NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) starts. D&L Services will serve as the official track welder as well as becoming the newest member of the Stafford family of contingency sponsors. D&L Services will be on hand at the track every Friday night during the 2025 season offering welding assistance to all 5 weekly divisions.
(Stafford Springs, CT)—After racing in Stafford Speedway’s premier SK Modified® division either part or full-time for 8 seasons, Troy Talman and the #3 Casella Waste Systems team were able to notch their first three feature victories during the 2024 season. The three wins helped steer Talman to a career best fourth place finish in the SK standings and he is looking forward to once again being a contender for the SK track title in 2025.
