Luke Peters Dominates Tiger $2K, Steals Central Asphalt Triple Crown Championship in Tiebreaker At White Mountain

N. Woodstock, NH — It was a Saturday for the ages at White Mountain Motorsports Park as the teams, fans and officials beat out Mother Nature for a stellar night of racing action. The Pro Truck Challenge kicked off the twin bill with their second annual return to the North Woodstock, New Hampshire oval. Nate Smith took off with the early lead in the Northern 55 as Todd Taylor followed and Randy Burr made his way under Tyler Chapman for third. Smith led until lap 26 when things went amiss under the hood leaving Taylor to try and hold off point leader Burr. Randy Burr made the move under the #47 Taylor to lead lap 31 and march home to victory over Tyler Chapman and Todd Taylor in the caution-free event.

D. J. Shaw Steals GSPSS Glory With “Mad Dog” Checkers At Monadnock Speedway

WINCHESTER, N.H. — D.J. Shaw crashed the party Saturday evening at Monadnock Speedway to take his second straight and 14th career victory with the Granite State Pro Stock Series presented by Hudson International Speedway.

Shaw, from Center Conway, N.H., found a path past a dominant Tom Carey III in the closing laps to muzzle “Mad Dog” and secure his third GSPSS win at the thrilling high-banked quarter-mile.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — In the last few feet of race track in the second overtime Sunday afternoon, Chase Elliott came from oblivion to steal the Hollywood Casino 400 Presented by ESPN BET and earn a berth in the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

As his No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet sped wide open through the final corner on Lap 273 at Kansas Speedway, Elliott’s car bounced off the side of Denny Hamlin’s Toyota on the way to the finish line.

LeBlanc Steals White Mountain Mini Late Model Special; Cahoon Back in Late Model Victory Lane

Woodstock, NH — The Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division at White Mountain kicked off Saturday night’s six division card with Chloe Doyle and Bella Hamel leading the way side-by-side at the front. Several back of the pack cautions slowed the pace early but under green flag conditions Lucas Sidney and Owen Dupuis made their way through the field to pour the pressure on in the closing laps. Under the twin checkered flags Sidney took the win by a hair over Doyle with Makenzi Sicard sliding in for third to round out the opening podium.

Logano Steals Vegas Win; Clinches Championship 4 Berth

LAS VEGAS — Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano made his Team Penske’s fuel strategy call work to perfection Sunday afternoon to claim victory in the South Point 400 Playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and earn the first of four NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 berths.

Logano led only the final six laps on the Vegas 1.5-miler but was able to hold off the afternoon’s most dominant car, Christopher Bell’s No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota by a slight .662-second in the final few laps.

Griffith and Stone Take Icebreaker Victories, Mother Nature Steals the Sunshine At Thompson

Thompson, CT — A partly cloudy day was had at Thompson Speedway’s Saturday opener to the 50th Icebreaker weekend with plenty of rain to darken the spirits on an exciting opening day schedule of events. The crew at Thompson Speedway kept the track dry enough to get in full feature events for both the Thompson Street Stocks and the PASS Super Late Models but the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series was a casualty to the rain and will be postponed to the Friday of World Series weekend on October 11. Oxford, ME — Seventeen American-Canadian Tour Flying Tigers made the trek across Route 2 to Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday morning, all looking for one last shot at victory lane in the 2023 season. Teamsters from Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road and North Woodstock, New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park took on a different beast on Saturday as they joined the excited Pro All Stars Series (PASS) 400 weekend. N. Woodstock, NH — On a cool Sunday afternoon in the Pemigewasset Valley of New Hampshire, Thunder filled the foothills to the tune of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models. A special Father’s Day edition of racing at White Mountain Motorsports Park proved just the right medicine after a week of unseasonably constant rain in the Granite State.
