Barre, VT — Craftsbury Common’s Stephen Martin topped one of the closest championship battles in recent Thunder Road history by winning the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series finale at Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night on Thursday, August 5. Martin wrestled the lead away from his dad Michael in the closing stages of the 75-lap Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger feature to win both the race and the Triple Crown title in one fell swoop.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its first scheduled Friday night race of the 2021 season with a Stafford Weekly Series program on Friday, May 7th. Michael Christopher outdueled Keith Rocco to win the SK Modified® feature, while both Michael Bennett and Derek Debbis both made it two-for-two in 2021 by winning the Late Model and SK Light feature events respectively. The gates swung open Saturday evening for the 71st season of stock car racing at Riverhead Raceway and when the checker flag waved on the 50-lap Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified feature John Beatty Jr. of Merrick sat in the winner circle after surviving a late race restart with 11 laps remaining in the race to post his 9th career victory.
