Barre, VT — Due to the severity of the flooding to our community, local businesses, racers and fans, Officials have postponed the 44th running of the Vermont Governor’s Cup by the Vermont Lottery originally scheduled for Thursday, July 13th. With well over 100 roads washed out across the area, along with flooding in homes, businesses and Thunder Road’s own office building in downtown Barre, Officials postponed the event to allow people the necessary time to assess their situations and plan accordingly. Chemung, N.Y. – (July 10, 2023) – The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series and Race of Champions Super Stock Series will compete in the “The Tribute to Ed McGuire 51” in twin 51-lap races at Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome on Saturday, July 15.
Cloudy skies and a thick fog crept over Coastal Maine on Saturday night, but this didn’t stop Wiscasset Speedway from hosting their weekly Group #2 racing program. The night’s events included the Portland Glass Strictly Streets, Kennebec Equipment Rental Outlaw Minis, T&L Automotive Modifieds, Wood Pellet Warehouse Late Models and the visiting Milton CAT Modified Racing Series.

(July 6, 2023) – The board of the Friends of Auto Racing Seeking Cooperation of Racing Enthusiasts (FOAR SCORE) Club Hall-of-Fame are proud to announce five (5) new members for their 2023 Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Classics V in Amherst, N.Y., as part of the club’s traditional post-season celebration.
I wasn’t sure how this street race in Chicago would turn out. While hoping for the best, I was on the fence not only about the drivers’ ability to not turn this into a crashfest into Turn 1, but also thought this much-hyped event was nothing more than another NASCAR gimmick to drive eyes onto the sport even for a brief period of time.
