DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 19, 2022) – For the first time ever, the sights, sounds and speed of NASCAR are coming to the streets of downtown Chicago on July 1-2, 2023. One of the most iconic cities in the world, Chicago will add another chapter to its illustrious sports history when a NASCAR Cup Series street race debuts against the backdrop of Lake Michigan and Grant Park, televised on NBC.
With the big dogs of NASCAR in town, a handful of tracks in New England took this past weekend off from racing festivities. Wiscasset Speedway capitalized on the opportunity and kept the train rolling with an action-packed Group #1 program featuring the Sweatt’s Concrete Thunder 4 Minis, Norm’s Used Cars Pro Stocks, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Market 27 Super Streets and even the T&L Automotive Enduro Series for the second enduro of the season.
N. Woodstock, NH — Four divisions worth of fantastic side-by-side racing filled the White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday, July 16th. Along with the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model 150, the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis provided all the action for the folks in the stands and those at home tuning in on Racing America. Barre, VT — Even after taking a restful partial season in 2022, three-time ‘King of the Road’ Jason Corliss returned to his roots at Barre’s Thunder Road and once again stood victorious before the large crowd on hand for the 43 Vermont Governor’s Cup presented by the Vermont Lottery.
