Three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore heads back to a familiar place this Sunday afternoon. Bonsignore and the Kenneth Massa Motorsports team will return to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park to compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Sunoco World Series 150. With just three races remaining in the Tour season, Bonsignore sits second, just 11 points out of the lead in the title chase.
Thompson has been one of Bonsignore’s best tracks in his career. Hosting 13 of his 42 career wins, Bonsignore’s last Thompson win came in this event last year. In two starts at Thompson so far in 2024, Bonsignore has finished fourth and second.

The Race of Champions Modified Series feature will compete in a 110-lap race with the ability to change one tire during the race. It will be the final race of the season, Zane Zeiner of Bath, PA, is seeking his second consecutive Series championship in a competitive season.

Kyle Larson dominated last week’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway, leading 462 of 500 laps and winning by over seven seconds at the famed track. Since 2020 Jimmy & Angela Rennick of JCR Motorsports have provided championship awards involving the Enduro racing at Riverhead Raceway. That tradition will continue on Championship Sunday with the Rennick’s JCR Motorsports presenting championship trophies for the three Enduro divisions of Riverhead Raceway along with the three classifications of Bock Auto INEX Bandolero racing. Phoenix Raceway Announces Sellout for NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday, Nov. 10
PHOENIX – As a number of regional businesses and community guests gathered at Phoenix Raceway on September 12 to celebrate the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and raise funds for the Fighter Country Foundation, the track announced that grandstand seats are sold out for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday, Nov. 10. It marks the seventh consecutive Cup Series event to sell out at the mile-long doglegged oval and the fourth consecutive sellout for the Cup Series Championship.

The 2024 Riverhead Raceway regular season concludes this weekend when Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz present the traditional Championship Weekend doubleheader.
