Tioga Center, NY (July 5, 2026) — Sunday night, July 12, the Race of Champions Modifieds and Super Stocks roar into Shangri-La II Speedway for the first time in 2026 for the Rod Spalding Classic — a race to honor a man who was a member of the NASCAR Modified division, and well-known local driver.
The Classic was originally set for June 14, but due to an unfavorable forecast, the race was postponed.
LE MANS, France (July 5, 2026) – Champion British driver Andrew Jordan capped off a stellar Sunday with a sweep of both HSR NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear at the Le Mans Classic Legend races to take the inaugural overall victory in the blockbuster event that was a tribute to NASCAR’s first appearance in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 50 years ago. Driving his ex-Michael Waltrip Racing 2011 No. 15 Toyota Camry, Jordan handily won both Sunday sprints after a narrow loss in Saturday’s first race to take the top step of the podium at Circuit de la Sarthe on Sunday afternoon.
WELCOME, N.C. — Kaulig Racing driver Ty Dillon will make his 300th NASCAR Cup Series start Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.
“Making 300 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series is so special to me,” Dillon said.
“As a kid, you dream of racing in the Cup Series, starting the Daytona 500 and competing for championships,” he said. “As your career goes on, you realize how important and special it is to keep making starts at this level. I’m proud to reach this mark, and I’m grateful I’ve been able to stick around long enough to gain so many experiences racing at the highest level all over the country. I’m pumped for this weekend and hopeful there are another 300 starts ahead.”
SONOMA, Calif. — A week after posting a season’s best fifth-place finish at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, Kaulig Racing driver AJ Allmendinger will celebrate his 500th NASCAR Cup Series start Sunday at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.
“Reaching 500 Cup Series starts is something I never could have imagined when I first got behind the wheel,” said Allmendinger, driver of the No. 16 NASCAR Cup Series entry. “To do it at Sonoma, in my home state of California, with the men and women at Kaulig Racing makes it even more special. Woodford, VA – Race fans can look forward to a perfect afternoon of short-track action as the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour heads to Dominion Raceway for a Sunday matinee event on April 26, following a schedule adjustment from the originally planned Saturday, April 25 date.
The change was made by Track Enterprises, promoter of the event, as well as MDM Promotions Owner Marty Melo to avoid overlapping with the CARS Tour race scheduled for the same weekend. The move allows fans, teams, and competitors to enjoy two marquee racing events without conflict while setting the stage for a family-friendly Sunday afternoon show.
