Tennessee Motorsports Takeover Coming To Nashville On March 10 To Preview 2026 Racing In The Volunteer State

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 6, 2026) – Officials from the Volunteer State’s two largest motorsports venues – Bristol Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway – are coming together on Tuesday, March 10 in downtown Nashville to provide fans with an official preview of the 2026 season.

NASCAR Cup Series stars Ross Chastain and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., along with recent NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series winner Layne Riggs and NHRA Top Fuel dragster driver Jasmine Salinas will be the featured drivers showcased during the Tennessee Motorsports Takeover at 1:30 p.m. CT on the first-floor stage at Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up Restaurant & Bar at 120 3rd Ave., South, Nashville.

Lou Modestino Track Talk: Here’s How Northeast Drivers Performed At Darlington And Portland

Northeastern senior correspondent Lou Modestino checks in with his latest Track Talk:

Chase Briscoe won the Cup race at Darlington, SC. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 16th, and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended his day in 20th position.

The Xfinity race in Portland, OR saw Conner Zillich go to Victory Lane. Thomas Annunziata of NJ finished 28^th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ended his day in 33rd.

The Craftsman Trucks also raced at Darlington, SC. Correy Heim won that one, with Corey LaJoie placing 20th. Corey LaJoie is the son of Two -Time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before he moved to Charlotte, NC to be closer to all of the NASCAR Teams. Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA ended up 22nd.

The Indy Cars were in action at Nashville, TN, and Josef Newgarden won that one. Santino Ferrucci of Ridgefield, CT came in eighth.

Here’s How New England Drivers Performed At Nashville, Detroit, And Epping, NH

Ryan Blaney won the Cup race at Nashville. Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended his day in fourth and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 28^th position.

Justin Allgaier won the Nashville Xfinity race. Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 29^th.Kris Wright came in 31st. Wright steers a for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our entry. Both owners reside in Chatham, MA.

At the Indy Car race Detroit, MI was taken by Kirkwood beating second place driver Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT, his best show in that sanction.

Early Exit on Race Day

Heading into Sunday’s Funny Car eliminations at New England Dragway in Epping, NH , Bob Tasca III of Hope, RI was confident in the team’s setup and potential. But any hopes of a deep run at his home track were dashed in Round 1. Facing Phil Burkart, Tasca lost traction just past 60 feet and smoked the tires, coasting to a 7.569 at 94.02 mph and a first-round loss.

“Too much,” Tasca said. “Lost traction around 60 feet.”

Eyes on Bristol

Despite the early exit, the team leaves New England with key positives—most notably, top-tier speed and valuable data from their No. 2 qualifying effort.

“We’ve set speed records. We’ve been 340 mph,” Tasca said Friday. “But we have got to go down the racetrack consistently.”

The Tasca Racing crew will look to bounce back quickly as the NHRA tour rolls on to Bristol Dragway in Bristol, Tennessee, for next weekend’s NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. With the car showing serious horsepower and the crew focused on consistency, Tasca will arrive in Tennessee ready to contend.
