Cars and Coffee Darien, CT – Final event of 2024 Is This Coming Sunday

This month, our theme is Marques from Spain, France, Sweden the Pacific Rim (Japan and Korea)

We’ve had a great season. Seven events under our 2024 belt, and only one had any rain (so far). Will our luck hold? Well, it IS November and this IS New England, so anything is possible.

Bring what you’ve got and don’t worry about whether it’s cool or not. As long as you like it, that’s all that matters. As usual, all makes, models and years are always accepted. Our events are about the people and not just the cars. (more…)

How Did New England-Connected NASCAR Drivers Do At Martinsville?
Ryan Blaney won the Cup race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in tenth with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finishing 14th while Boston’s Kaz Grala had to settle for 27th.  Then it was Corey LaJoie that placed 35th.  Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before he decided to head for Charlotte, NC in order to be closer to the top NASCAR action.
Aric Almirola took the checked flag first in the Xfinity race with seventh place going to Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT while Parker Kligerman of Weston, CT came in eighth.  Blaine Perkins finished 19th with Long Island’s Patrick Emerling caming home in 23rd.  Alfredo and Perkins both drive Team Cars for Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter Mary who reside in Chatham, MA.

Seekonk, MA — Thirty-seven American-Canadian Tour Late Models packed the pits at Seekonk Speedway on a sunny Saturday to start the month of November. Three rounds of action-packed qualifying whittled the entries to a thirty-car starting field for the Haunted Hundred championship finale event for both the American-Canadian Tour championship and the Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown. Lime Rock Park will expand its offerings in 2025, increasing from six to eight event weekends. The iconic Connecticut venue will showcase a mix of returning favorites and exciting new events, along with a full lineup of community gatherings, autocross lapping days on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds, Sunday at The Park car shows, and numerous car club races. Former NASCAR Driver Austin Theriault to Face Jared Golden in Maine’s 2nd District

Former NASCAR driver Austin Theriault won the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Golden in Maine’s closely watched 2nd Congressional District.
The Associated Press called the race for Theriault about an hour after the polls closed in Maine. Early returns showed the 30-year-old Fort Kent, ME native with a large lead over his primary opponent, Mike Soboleski of Phillips.
