(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway kicked off its 2023 race season with the NAPA Auto Parts Duels as part of the 51st Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler® Weekend. Feature races were held for the American Canadian Tour, Limited Late Models, and Street Stocks along with two 40-lap NAPA Duel races that set the top-20 lineup for Saturday’s 100-lap NAPA Spring Sizzler® main event.
Stafford Springs, CT — The American-Canadian Tour broke a 38-year drought by entering the Stafford Motor Speedway complex on Friday, the first time the series had raced the iconic 1/2-mile since 1985. Thirty-four teams from across New England and Quebec made the trip to kick off the Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown and, for many, take their first laps at the Connecticut oval.

Mike Brightman kicked-off the 2023 season on Sunday at Seekonk Speedway the same way he did 2022 — in Victory Lane. Brightman dashed away from the field to win the opener of the Pro Stock season, scoring victory in the 40-lap feature in dominating fashion. (more…)
