2021 Champions, Top Runners Honored at Thunder Road Banquet

Barre, VT — As part of last weekend’s 63rd Season Opener and Community Bank 150, Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour celebrated their 2021 champions, top runners and rookies as well as the various annual special awards presented by the ACT sanctioning body. Because of COVID-19 concerns, the annual dinner and awards ceremony was once again held outdoors on the Thunder Road property under the afternoon sun. (more…)

Sweet is Still the ‘King of Barre’ in Fourth Community Bank 150 Triumph

Barre, VT — With 117 cars on hand for the 63rd Season Opener at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, 17 qualifying races were needed before the four feature races took the green creating some of the best stock car racing in the United States at the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ When all the dust settled Sunday afternoon, a first time winner stood amongst hardened veterans and the ‘King of Barre’ remained on his throne.

How Drivers With New England Connections Did At Dover
In Saturday’s Xfinity Series at the Dover Monster Track saw Josh Berry take the win.  Brett Moffit ended his day in 13th place with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT coming in 15th while Jeb Burton placed 16th.  Moffitt, Alfredo and Burton all race for Our Motorsports which is jointly owned by Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who call Harwich, MA home.  Boston’s Kaz Grala had a disappointing outing which ended with him finishing 24th.

West Haven, VT – Much like the NFL draft, each year there is a sense of who might be first overall. Kenny Tremont Jr. was unstoppable for six seasons, where he earned four track titles at Devil’s Bowl Speedway between 2015 and 2020. When ‘The Bowl’ switched to Saturday night racing in 2021 it changed everything. There was suddenly no clear favorite. Again, that rings true heading into 2022.
