Barre, VT — As part of last weekend’s 63rd Season Opener and Community Bank 150, Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour celebrated their 2021 champions, top runners and rookies as well as the various annual special awards presented by the ACT sanctioning body. Barre, VT — With 117 cars on hand for the 63rd Season Opener at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, 17 qualifying races were needed before the four feature races took the green creating some of the best stock car racing in the United States at the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ When all the dust settled Sunday afternoon, a first time winner stood amongst hardened veterans and the ‘King of Barre’ remained on his throne.
When looking ahead to the Miller Lite 200 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event Saturday May 14th at Riverhead Raceway it will be hard not to pick a tested tough WMT veteran for the win. However the quarter mile bullring has provided some surprise winners and results along the way in the previous 67 races and fans might even have to look past the 2022 WMT roster for a potential winner. Several local teams of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at Riverhead plan on entering the 200. (more…)
One of the most anticipated new sporting events of 2022 is finally here – the inaugural Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. As part of a festival fitting for Miami and South Florida, the Formula 1 World Championship race will be run on Sunday, May 8, and will air live on ABC, with coverage beginning at 2 p.m. ET. (more…)

On Saturday, front grandstands gates open at 4 p.m., with the first green flag for qualifying heats will be at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults. Youth 6-12 only $5 and kids 5 and under and parking are free.
