Team Penske To Field LMP2 Entry In 2022 World Endurance Championship

MOORESVILLE, NC (January 12, 2022) – Team Penske announced today that it will field an entry in the 2022 World Endurance Championship (WEC), racing an ORECA 07-Gibson in the LMP2 class. Former IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship drivers Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr will be joined by veteran sports car racer Emmanuel Collard for the upcoming season.

Team Penske came into 2021 after a NASCAR Cup Series season in which two of the organization’s three drivers made the Championship 4. Unfortunately for “The Captain,” neither was able to get the job done in the final race a year ago and Penske’s championship hopes faded to black. Team Penske was hoping to resurface as a top-tier team in 2021 and achieve a better season in terms of final results. Perhaps the veteran trio of drivers could capture Roger Penske that elusive NASCAR championship. The season certainly started out with promise. However, the catastrophic end for the Penske group in the Daytona 500 foreshadowed what would ultimately turn out to be a rather difficult season. (more…)

Front Row Motorsports Announces 2022 Team Lineup
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (November 30, 2021) – In 2022, Front Row Motorsports (FRM) will again have a mix of veteran leadership and young, winning drivers stepping into new roles.
Michael McDowell will pilot the No. 34 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series. He will be teammates with Todd Gilliland who takes over the No. 38 Ford Mustang. Two-time NASCAR Camping World Series championship runner-up Zane Smith joins FRM to race the No. 38 Ford F-150 in the truck series.

As a result, Tasca vaulted into third place in the final 2021 NHRA Nitro Funny Car standings, setting a personal best.
