Barre, VT — While officials remained optimistic at the conclusion of yesterday’s racing program, the weatherman was once again unkind to Thunder Road on Saturday morning. With a forecasted weather pattern similar to the one that pushed Thursday’s postponement, Thunder Road officials have made the difficult decision to hold off and postpone the McGee Hyundai of Barre program to a new Super Friday date on Friday, September 1st. Thunder Road’s Nolato Night Moved to Friday, August 11th with Threat of Rain
Barre, VT — It wouldn’t be a Thursday in Central Vermont, in the summer of 2023, without the threat of rain and today is certainly no different. With rain forecasted to come into the greater Barre area right at Thursday’s Thunder Road post time of 7:00pm and staying through to Midnight tonight, officials opted to play it safe and move the Nolato Night program to tomorrow, Friday, August 11th. Thunder Road Postpones Governor’s Cup in Wake of Torrential Flooding Across Vermont
Barre, VT — Due to the severity of the flooding to our community, local businesses, racers and fans, Officials have postponed the 44th running of the Vermont Governor’s Cup by the Vermont Lottery originally scheduled for Thursday, July 13th. With well over 100 roads washed out across the area, along with flooding in homes, businesses and Thunder Road’s own office building in downtown Barre, Officials postponed the event to allow people the necessary time to assess their situations and plan accordingly.
