Barre, VT – Thursday night’s showcase at Thunder Road kicks off an important stretch of racing to both round out the month of July and kick-off an exciting month of August. The annual WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night on Thursday, July 31 is headlined by both the Squier Cup Championship 100 presented by Milton CAT and the late, great Ken Squier’s World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix!

Barre, VT – For the first time in recent memory, a Thursday came and went in Barre Vermont that was not affected by the rainy-wrath of Mother Nature. A sunny afternoon greeted the fans and teams of Thunder Road, all in preparation for the all-important Times Argus Midseason Championships.

Holland, N.Y. – (July 21, 2025) – The Race of Champions Modified Series is set to make its highly anticipated return to the high banks of Holland International Speedway this Saturday, July 26, for the only stop of the season at the historic Western New York oval.
Headlining the night will be “The Transitowne 100,” a 100-lap showdown sure to deliver the trademark intensity fans have come to expect from the Series.

Barre, VT – Another Thursday in Barre meant yet another race day at Thunder Road Speedbowl affected by the rains of Mother Nature. Just ten minutes prior to the special 6:30pm Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup Post Time, rains swept in for a half-hour spell with successful track drying getting Thursday’s program underway by 7:30pm.
The poor weather necessitated a change in schedule with the Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Models getting feature racing off and running with the 46th running of the Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup 150. A Plus/Minus handicap draw event as part of the Squier Cup presented by Milton CAT, the Governor’s Cup saw four-time winner Jason Corliss earn an incredible +7 in Heat #1 with former Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour champion Jimmy Hebert to his outside at the start.

Barre, VT – The busy, hot month of July continues its all-importance in the track title chase for the Thunder Road faithful this Thursday, July 17 with the 46th running of the Vermont Lottery Governor’s Cup 150 for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models. The ‘Thunder and Lightning’ division of Barre’s Thunder Road goes for their longest point-counting showdown of the summer season with a chance at joining a who’s-who of all time greats on the Vermont Governor’s Cup.
