MATT HIRSCHMAN RUNS TO HIS 11TH IN THE 76TH ANNUAL AL GERBER TROPHY RACE OF CHAMPIONS VICTORY AT 5TH DIFFERENT RACE TRACK CLINCHES 9TH RACE OF CHAMPIONS MODIFIED SERIES TITLE

BARTON, N.Y. (October 26, 2026) — Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA, took the lead in the late stages of the 125-lap 76^th annual Al Gerber Trophy Race of Champions this past Sunday afternoon at Shangri-La II Speedway near Owego, NY and went on to his 11^th victory in “The Greatest Tradition in Modified Racing” at Shangri-La II Speedway. It was the 5^th different track that Hirschman accomplished this including Oswego (NY) Speedway; Chemung (NY) Speedrome; Lake Erie Speedway in North East, PA and Thompson (CT) Speedway.

Andy Jankowiak of Tonawanda, NY, started from the pole and was quickly passed by Jake Lutz of Hamburg, NY, who went on to lead a great deal of the race before Hirschman took over.

TIMMONS WINS SMAC 50, OUTLAWS TO SCOTT SATURDAY AT CLAREMONT

CLAREMONT, NH – Windham, Maine open-wheel star Bobby Timmons III was the big winner Saturday at Claremont Motorsports Park, winning the SMAC Supermodified Energized by USNE 50-lap main event and, with the victory, surging to his first career championship in the fast Supermodified series.

With well over 100 racing teams packing the pits for the first day of the Thrasher Road speedplant’s annual Fall Challenge event, Timmons was one of eleven different drivers earning feature wins at the 79-year-oval’s annual autumn classic.

Kaiden Fisher Earns Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour Win #3, Point Lead at Lee USA

Lee, NH — In a stunning turn of events in the second-to-last event of the 2026 season for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, Shelburne, Vermont’s Kaiden Fisher took the checkers at the famed Lee USA Speedway on a chilly Sunday evening. Fisher’s victory earned him his third win of the season on the international circuit and the point lead in a dramatic turn of events at New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.

Owen Grennan of Glen Cove picked the right time of the season to start a win streak at Riverhead Raceway when he won his second straight Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified event in the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 Saturday. With the victory Owen Grennan sewed up the 2026 Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modified track championship one week after clinching the New York State championship of the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Gabe Brown Wins 64th Northfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl in Thrilling Final Segment Showdown with Teammate Kaiden Fisher

Barre, VT – While certainly a contender, the fans who packed the stands at Thunder Road Sunday afternoon may not have had Gabe Brown as their top choice for the Vermont Milk Bowl win. Those that did celebrated alongside the team, those that didn’t may have been awe-struck, but everyone present had front row seats to one of the most thrilling Northfield Savings Bank Vermont Milk Bowls in recent memory.

Following the annual pomp and circumstance of driver introductions for the once-a-year-extravaganza, the opening 50-lap segment was stalled by two early cautions for the spinning Mike Rubalcaba on lap 2 and Keegan Lamson’s turn two dust-up three laps later. The remainder of the first segment was a dogfight between front-row starters Kaiden Fisher and Jason Corliss with Fisher taking the opening round.

The championship implications were plentiful entering the My Guy Auto Supply NAPA of Riverhead Eddie Partridge 206 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at Riverhead Raceway Saturday. By the time the long night of racing was in the books, the championship picture became clearer not only for the 2026 WMT championship, but all three Riverhead Raceway divisions running in their penultimate races as well. Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, NY, celebrated his 34th birthday in style by winning the My Guy Auto Supply NAPA of Riverhead Eddie Partridge 206 for his fifth WMT win of the season.

Hometown Hero: Beattie Takes Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200 at White Mountain

Woodstock, NH — The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour returned to White Mountain Motorsports Park for the second and final time in the 2026 season for the 48th Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200. Twenty-nine teams made the trip to one of New England’s most scenic facilities with just one standing tall to join one of the region’s most iconic wins list in the 48th Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200!

White Mountain track championship point leader Quinny Welch was looking forward to the extra-distance showdown before his rear-end gave out in the second practice to end his day. Kasey Beattie, current runner-up in the season-long White Mountain standings, Colin Cornell and rookie Lukee Shannon were left prepared to defend the home turf against the ACT invaders.
