Williamson, N.Y. – (September 6, 2025) – The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series continued its streak of parity on Friday night at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., as Evan Rygielski of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., captured his first career Series victory in the conclusion of the Maynard Troyer Classic VI.

Fans are invited to attend with free grandstand admission as the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series and Rocket Performance 602 Sportsman Modified Series settle unfinished business from last weekend.
The fields for each feature were already determined through redraws before inclement weather forced an early conclusion to Friday’s program. Now, fans will enjoy a pair of high-stakes feature events to officially close out Spencer Speedway’s 2025 season.

The win came under unusual circumstances as the 2025 edition of the event became the first rain-shortened race in the history of the Classic, declared official after 43 laps were completed when persistent lake-effect drizzle forced an early conclusion.

Williamson, NY – (September 1, 2024) – Ron Silk of Norwalk, CT, drove to his first-ever Race of Champions Modified Series victory this past Friday night at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, NY, and it was in one of the most lucrative victories in the history of the Speedway, with over $54,000 in purse money for the Modified event. Silk took home $11,000 for his efforts in what is considered the best per lap for Modified racing in the region.
Silk started 5th and slipped past Jake Lutz of Hamburg, NY, on a restart when Lutz missed a shift. From that point Lutz pressured Silk all the way to the checkered flag, however, it was to no avail as Silk narrowly earned the victory.
