His fourth Bettenhausen 100 win at Springfield August 16 was a record forty-ninth in the big cars, and Swanson has a record 8 national championships in his pocket. Saturday afternoon, August 30 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, Swanson goes for win number 50 and his third Ted Horn 100.
