WALPOLE, N.H. — Granite State Pro Stock Series race teams are heading to Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire, for the third race of the season on Saturday, May 8. Coming off successful events at Stafford Motor Speedway and Monadnock Speedway — won by Joey Pole and Angelo Belsito — the series hits the New Hampshire oval for the Hedges Excavating 100 for the first of two visits in 2021. The Next Gen car is a collaboration of the brightest engineering minds in racing, with contributions coming from all sides of the NASCAR and automotive industries. The design of the Next Gen car gives the drivers greater control while putting an emphasis back on race strategies, team personnel and vehicle setups. WALPOLE, N.H. — Rising Super Late Model driver Tyler Tomassi will look to break into Victory Lane for the first time with the Granite State Pro Stock Series this Saturday, May 8 at Star Speedway. Although Tomassi has no previous laps at Star, he’s hoping to become a quick study of the tricky New Hampshire oval and be there at the end of the Hedges Excavating 100.

During the off season former Blunderbust driver Rob Bader wanted to return grassroots racing in 2021 and during the winter went out and got a Street Stock for competition at Riverhead Raceway. Among the goals Rob set was for the car to be a tribute to his late Uncle Jay Hulse former Charger driver. Then unexpected wrist surgery put Rob on injured list but undaunted he tabbed good friend Brian Brown of Riverhead to steer the car in Sunday’s May Meltdown event and in a storybook finish Brown delivered an emotional win for Bader and his family. BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 2, 2021 . . . The chase for the championships, part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, continues at Grandview Speedway with Brett Kressley continuing to be the leader in the T.P.Trailers Modified division. With two wins and 1131 points Kressley has just a 19 point lead over defending champion Craig Von Dohren who has 1112 but has yet to visit victory lane. Jared Umbenhauer sits third in the standings with 1033 points followed by Jeff Strunk at 977 and Louden Reimert holding 941. Kressley has two wins while Jared Umbenhauer and Danny Bouc each have one win. There have been 43 teams earn points. (more…)
Barre, VT — A huge field of cars filed through the pits for the Thunder Road Car Show and Practice Day on Saturday, May 1. When all was said and done, 119 drivers across 4 divisions took to the track in preparation for the Community Bank N.A. 150 on FloRacing this Sunday, May 2. The speeds were as big as the fields with racers storming out of the gates after a long, cold Vermont winter. (more…)
