SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway has a packed weekend of excitement planned September 12-13, with drivers continuing their battle for the championship on both Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday. On top of that, Saturday night is First Responders Night, with free admission for First Responders courtesy of IBEW Local 99, along with the annual Wall of Fame induction. This year, Ronnie Pond, a “Master of Speed” and Johnny Tripp, a multiple-division winner and a former track champion, will both be inducted at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Saturday evening track owners Connie Partridge & Tom Gatz will honor the memory of three popular NASCAR Modified legends as they present the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 on a night where they will induct Tom Baldwin Sr., Tom Baldwin Jr., Tom Ryan and Long John Silver onto the Cromarty Wall of Champions.

Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz are honored to announce the 2025 inductees onto the Cromarty Wall of Champions which include a first since the inception of the wall with the induction of Tom Baldwin Sr. and Tom Baldwin Jr. The Baldwin inductions are groundbreaking in that they become the first father and son enshrined in the same ceremony. Former Figure Eight standout Tom Ryan and popular “Long” John Silver join the Baldwin’s as the class of 2025, Silver has the distinction of being the first Demolition Derby/Car Rollover inductee.

As Seekonk Speedway hits the final two weekends of the short-track racing season for Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday, September 20-21 will determine the Final Four who will compete for the title in each division. As the Sunoco Drive For The Cup revs up, after feature event racing on both nights, four drivers will have the right to contend for the title, while two in each division will go home hoping for another shot next year. American-Canadian Tour Full Season Entry for 2024 Released, Wall First to Return
Barre, VT — As officials, teams and fans make their last-minute preparations for the holiday season, the American-Canadian Tour office released the Full Season Entry Form for the 2024 season ahead. The Full Season Entry entitles a team to all 13 American-Canadian Tour point-counting events during 2024 season for just $700, a $275 discount if mailed before March 1st. After March 1st, the Full Season Entry will be available for $1,000. East Kingston, New Hampshire’s Bryan Wall Jr. turned in the first official entry received at the ACT office on Monday.
Matt Hirschman Wins Wreck-Filled Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium Speedway
The 50th running of the Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium Speedway in Wall, New Jersey was plagued by a number of caution flags throughout the event, but in the end it was pole-sitter ‘Big Money’ Matt Hirschman scoring his eight victory in the prestigious event at the 0.333-mile speedway. Saturday night’s win was Hirschman’s fifth win in the last six Turkey Derby events and secured him a $15,000 payday. (more…)
