Last March, as part of National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Bethesda partnered with Motor Racing Outreach to send several people supported to the NASCAR Cup Series-Auto Club 400 race in Fontana, Calif. As ambassadors of Bethesda’s mission to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, they were treated to the experience of a lifetime as VIP guests. The highlight was taking a ride in the pace car with NASCAR legend and Fox Sports commentator Michael Waltrip. (more…)

Two-Time Daytona 500 Winner Michael Waltrip Joins SRX Driver Lineup

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 18, 2021) – Two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip is the latest racecar driver to join the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), a six-race short-track series airing this summer on Saturday nights in primetime on CBS.

SRX features sprint races with drivers from a variety of motorsports backgrounds competing in identically prepared racecars on a variety of tracks, including pavement and dirt. (more…)
