Bow, NEW HAMPSHIRE – August 26, 2022 – New Hampshire’s own Ironman, TA2 driver Tom Sheehan, left Watkins Glen in P7 in the Driver Championship last year after finishing in P11 and P10 in the two races at the iconic venue. The popular wheelman will be hoping for a similar or better result when the Trans Am Championship returns to the historic road course in New York state September 7 – 11.
Kyle Larson pulled off a rare sweep of the weekend races at Watkins Glen. In the Xfinity race, he was the beneficiary of contact between the leaders that sent them both spinning and allowing Larson through to hold off AJ Allmendinger. Fast forward to the rain delayed Sunday race and it was Larson once again holding off AJ for the win. But the win wasn’t without some controversy.

By virtue of his win at Talladega Superspeedway last year, the Woodbridge, VA native is locked into all NASCAR Xfinity Series races via the Past Winner’s Provisional.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers had a two-week break in action but now they are heading to upstate New York for the SUNOCO Go Rewards 200 at The Glen on Saturday, August 20 at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network, NBC Sports App, MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR radio.

Kaz Grala will compete for Big Machine Racing in this weekend’s Pennzoil 150 Xfinity Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
Kyle Larson held off a hard-charging Chase Elliott for his first ever win at Watkins Glen, and his Cup series-leading 5th win. With Elliott starting from the rear for failing pre-race inspection, Larson was one of the favorites to win the race. But, first he had to get past Martin Truex, Jr.
