Race of Champions Weekend to Take Place September 12, 13 and 14
Elma, N.Y. – (November 15, 2024) – Race fans and competitors can continue to fill their calendar with race dates for the 2025 racing season to attend exciting Race of Champions “Family of Series” events.
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (October 29, 2024) – Just over a month after Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) announced its new HSR Classic Endurance Championship, a North American food industry giant and motorsports sponsorship leader has been named the presenting partner.
The HSR Classic Endurance Championship Presented by Mission Foods debuts in 2025 in a long-term partnership supporting the first major endurance race championship in the U.S. for vintage and historic sports cars. Competitors and race fans alike, however, will get a preview experience of the new Mission Foods championship this weekend at the 10th Running of the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour Presented by Mission Foods, October 30 – November 3. BuildSubmarines.com Earns First Win, Also Buescher’s First Victory on a Road Course
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (Sept. 15, 2024) – Chris Buescher finally got the road course victory he’d been searching for, winning Sunday’s race at Watkins Glen in dramatic fashion. The victory marks Buescher’s first of the season and also the first for BuildSubmarines.com.
“That’s such a good BuildSubmarines.com Ford Mustang,” Buescher said after the win. “This team is so great. Our long run speed was just phenomenal. I thought we lost it there on that last one and to stay right there with him. (more…)

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series at Watkins Glen International… Richard Childress Racing has two NASCAR Cup Series victories at Watkins Glen International. Robby Gordon won the 2003 event, leading the final 30 laps and scoring his third victory with RCR over the span of three seasons. Kevin Harvick captured the 2006 race at the New York road course, edging Tony Stewart for the victory, and claiming his first win at Watkins Glen. The victory was Harvick’s first on a road course and came in his 200th career Cup start. Dale Earnhardt won three poles (1990, 1992, 1996) for the Welcome, N.C.-based organization. RCR drivers have racked up eight top-five and 23 top-10 finishes in 81 starts at the New York road course. (more…)
Stretch Drive: In January, Young’s Motorsports announced it would graduate from the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series to the NASCAR Xfinity Series full-time in 2024 with rising star Leland Honeyman Jr. behind the wheel of the team’s No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro for the entire 33-race season continuing with Saturday afternoon’s Mission 200 at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International.
After coming just a half a straightaway shy of leaving Atlanta Motor Speedway with a much-needed good points day, Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Freightliner team are headed to Watkins Glen International hoping to battle their way back into a position to advance to Round Two of the Cup Series Playoffs.
This weekend’s Go Bowling at the Glen on the road course at Watkins Glen, N.Y., is the second of three races in the Round of 16, and Burton and the Wood Brothers are 14th in the standings, 16 points behind 12th place. After the race at Bristol the following week, the bottom four drivers in the Playoff standings will be eliminated from championship contention. (more…)
