FINDLAY, OH (September 26, 2025) — West Coast. East Coast. It doesn’t matter where they’re at. David Gravel and Big Game Motorsports just win.

The defending World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champions won $83,000 at Thunderbowl Raceway’s Dennis Roth Classic in California last Saturday. Six days later the scene shifted more than 2,000 miles east to Findlay, OH’s Millstream Speedway for Sheldon Haudenschild’s Buckeye Brawl presented by NOS Energy Drink. The result? Another trip to Victory Lane for Gravel and the Big Game crew.

David Gravel Takes His First WoO Sprint Car Championship

Is he a deserving World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion?

For many, it seemed a foregone conclusion that David Gravel Racing would earn his maiden WoO championship in 2024.  This was, after all, the season when five-time champion Brad Sweet left the series to join High Limit Racing.

Gravel, from Watertown, CT  had been the championship runner-up in each of the previous three seasons.

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: One week after the points lead changed hands, we’ve got a tie atop the World of Outlaws standings between David Gravel and Giovanni Scelzi. Gravel drove his way to a runner-up at Kennedale, his third podium of the season. That result was enough to equal Scelzi, who salvaged his night by charging from 20th to 10th.
