Lou Modestino Track TalkTyler Redick won the Cup race.   Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in ninth, while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finished 18th.

Sheldon  Creed won the O’Reilly/Xfinity Series Division race.  Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA ended up 24th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT was 25th.

In the Craftsman Trucks It was Kyle Busch who went to Victory Lane with Gio Ruggiero coming in third while  Stewart Friedman of NJ came in 20th.

Results From Northeastern NASCAR Competitors At Daytona Last Weekend

Lou Modestino Track TalkTyler Redick won the Cup race.   Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in third while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT  ended  up 25th.
Austin Hill won the O’ReIlly Auto Parts event.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 11th with Patrick Emerling of LI, NY finishing 13th.   Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA ended his day in 37th.
In the Craftsman Truck Series, Chandler Small won that one.  Gio Ruggiero finished second while Stewart Friesen of NJ ended up tenth.  Not so lucky was Corey LaJoie.  Corey is the son of Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT and was the winner of two NASCAR Championship in the Xfinity Series.
Also on the  menu was an ARCA race with Gio Ruggiero also taking that one while Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, NY cracked the top ten.

PhoenixRyan Blaney won the Cup raceJoey Logano of Middletown, CT came in fourth while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended his day in ninth.
Jesse Love won the Xfinity race.  Justin Bonsignore of Long Island, NY came in tenth while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT made the top ten.  Not so fortunate was Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY who ended his day in 36th.
In the Trucks it was Corey Heim going to Victory Lane.  Corey LaJoie ended up seventh,  while Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA had a tough day and ended up 31st.

William Sawalich To Miss NASCAR Xfinity Series Race At Phoenix Raceway

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (October 29, 2025) – Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that William Sawalich will miss Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway after experiencing concussion-like symptoms following his accident at Talladega Superspeedway. In his absence, Justin Bonsignore will drive the No. 18 SoundGear Toyota GR Supra this weekend.

Martinsville SpeedwayWilliam Byron won the Martinsville Cup race with Ryan Preece coming in sixth.  Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finished eighth.

Taylor Gray won the Xfinity event while Justin Bonsignore of Long Island, NY came in tenth.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT ended up 16th.  Not so lucky was Thomas Annunziata, who ended up 38th.

Goodyear Racing Notes – Phoenix Raceway

NASCAR Goodyear TiresNASCAR Cup Series teams will run a familiar Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup at this weekend’s Championship Race, though it will mark the first time these tires have run at Phoenix Raceway.

After racing the prime and option tire setups at Phoenix in March, the Cup Series returns to a single tire specification for the season finale on the 1-mile dogleg oval. This tire setup has previously been used at several short tracks this year, most recently at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September. The right-side tire also ran last weekend at Martinsville Speedway, paired with a new left-side tire.

Sam Hunt Racing Expands; Thompson and Burton Named Full-Time Drivers for 2026 Season

Sam Hunt RacingMOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 25,2025) – Sam Hunt Racing (SHR) announces today that the organization will expand to two full-time entries in 2026, both with full-time drivers. Dean Thompson, who broke multiple organizational records in his rookie NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Season, will return to the No. 26 GR Supra. Harrison Burton, a NASCAR Cup Series winner and 2025 NXS playoff driver, will pilot the No. 24 GR Supra full-time.

Two other JRM drivers are locked in a close battle for the final Championship 4 berth as the series moves to Martinsville Speedway for Saturday’s IAA & Ritchie Bros. 250 (7:30 p.m. ET on CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
