CHARLOTTE (October 14, 2025) — The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli is pleased to announce that Sunoco Race Fuels, the Official Racing Fuel Sponsor of SpeedTour, will sponsor the 2025 Young Gun Award. The Sunoco Race Fuels Young Gun Award will reward the season’s top points earner under the age of 25 in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series with a $20,000 cash prize at Trans Am’s year-end awards gala.

Chris Young of Calverton is no exception, in fact he is beyond eager for the new NASCAR Tour Type Modified season opening 50-lap event Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway. Dominating Performance Nets Kyle Ellwood Sweep Of Celebrating Chris Young Twin 49’s At Riverhead Raceway

The pairing of NASCAR Modified talent Kyle Ellwood of Riverhead and car owner Ken Matlach came about first week of July when Dillon Steuer could not run the Matlach Motorsports car due to dirt racing commitments. Saturday the new pairing dominated the Celebrating Chris Young Twin 49’s setting fast time and then winning both feature events for Ellwood’s second and third victories of 2023. By sweeping the two races, Ellwood earned $1,000 from the Highmark Building Efficiency Clean Sweep bonus.

Celebrating Chris Young Twin 49’s Set For Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modifieds Saturday

A busy month of September for the NASCAR Modifieds of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series of Riverhead Raceway intensifies this Saturday September 9th when the Celebrating Chris Young Twin 49’s go to post. Originally slated for July 29th, inclement weather pushed the Twin 49’s to Saturday, joining the Sara Sylvester INEX Legend Race Cars National Qualifier 50.

Chris Young Snaps Two Year Winless Streak With Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modified Triumph Saturday

Second generation driver Chris Young of Calverton snapped a two plus year winless spell Saturday night when he powered his way to victory in the Riverhead Raceway 50-lap NASCAR Modified feature event. It was the third career win for Young who last won on October 31st of 2020.
