Eli Tomac Wins 2022 Pro Motocross Championship

Team Oakley Athlete Eli Tomac wins his 4th 450 Motocross Championship as the first rider to win SX and MX in the same calendar year since 2015. On the podium Tomac was wearing Oakley Gold Encoder and during his race was sporting his new Oakley Eli Tomac Signature Series Airbrake MX Goggle.

This was the first time in the 50-year history of Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship racing that two title combatants (Team Oakley athletes Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton) were separated by just 1 point with 1 race remaining. Tomac and Sexton traded wins and podium places, along with the overall 450 class point lead, from rounds 1 through 11 (of 12). Tomac and Sexton each had an average overall finish of 1.91, 4 overall wins, and 10 overall podiums heading into the final round in Pala, CA. The next closest racer them in the overall standings was more than 90 points back.
