AMA Congratulates 2023 AMA Supercross Champions in Honda Sweep of the Series
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The AMA presented No. 1 plates at three different AMA Supercross events recently, with Hunter Lawrence becoming the first recipient at the Nashville AMA Supercross round; his brother Jett Lawrence earning his plate at the Denver round; and Chase Sexton being presented with his No. 1 plate on Saturday, May 13, in Salt Lake City at the final event of the season. Chase Sexton Wins Denver Supercross and Likely the Championship Crown
Denver, Colo., (May 7, 2023) Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton took his fifth win of the year at a hugely-significant Round 16 of the 17-round Monster Energy AMA Supercross season. The win, coupled with what is likely a season-ending injury for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac, put Sexton as the 2023 champion if Tomac cannot line up at the final round next Saturday. U.S. MXoN Team Wins 2022 AMA Motorcyclist of the Year Award
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Following a winning performance at the 2022 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) that brought the MXoN Chamberlain Trophy back to the United States, the U.S. MXoN team — which included Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton and Justin Cooper, with five-time World Champion and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Roger DeCoster as Team Manager — has claimed the 2022 AMA Motorcyclist of the Year award. Eli Tomac Wins 2022 Pro Motocross Championship
Team Oakley Athlete Eli Tomac wins his 4th 450 Motocross Championship as the first rider to win SX and MX in the same calendar year since 2015. On the podium Tomac was wearing Oakley Gold Encoder and during his race was sporting his new Oakley Eli Tomac Signature Series Airbrake MX Goggle. (more…)
