San Luis Potosí, SLP. 18/12/24 Receiving his first gift on the occasion of his 22nd birthday, the capital driver Max Gutiérrez was confirmed on the morning of December 18 in the 2025 lineup of the Canel’s Racing/Team GP team for NASCAR Mexico, which becomes a great opportunity for him to continue his successful sports career in motorsport seeking his first title in the top category of stock cars in Mexico.
With the integration of Max Canel’s Racing/Team GP, he plans to continue consolidating his position as a winning team at all times, working alongside Rubén García Jr., both seeking the checkered flag that will allow the team to fight for another year for a title, a season in which Canel’s celebrates 100 years of life and which throughout this time, alongside Team GP, has won eight NASCAR championships, in addition to continuing for more than 42 consecutive years in motorsports, establishing itself as the longest-running team in the country.
Regarding his arrival at Canel’s Racing-Team GP, Max Gutiérrez thanked the opportunity and was eager to be on track to start this new project. “First of all, thank you very much for this opportunity, it is great to be able to share with the entire team of engineers, drivers and preparers that make up Canel’s Racing-Team GP so much experience that they have gained over the years and that they can now pass on to me, happy and motivated for what is to come in 2025 and the other years. I am joining the 2024 champion team plus many other championships behind me, this gives me extra motivation to want to do more, improve every race looking to be in the Play Offs, win championships as much or more, all of this dedicated to the sponsors that make this possible. I am ready to make the leap to being champion of the star category. It will surely be with Canel’s Racing-Team GP. We urgently need to be on track to be able to train.”

Max has a long career, his career began in karting at the age of three, champion for nine consecutive years, in 2017 he made the jump to Trucks Mexico, consolidating himself as rookie of the year and champion in 2018, in 2019 he went to NASCAR Challenge where he became Rookie of the Year and second in the championship, in 2020 he was NASCAR Challenge champion and debuted in Late Models Racing USA, in 2021 he moved up to the top NASCAR category in Mexico being Rookie of the Year, he won in his debut ARCA East Series finishing 4th place in the Rookie of the Year championship, in 2022 he continues his growth on national and United States tracks by being Top 10 in the NASCAR Mexico Series, He participates in the ARCA National Series Daytona race and makes his debut in NCTS Charlotte, racing in Nashville, Pocono and Homestead. 2023 and 2024 focus on being present only in NASCAR Mexico, achieving the top 5 and top 7 respectively.
