ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (August 14, 2025) – Flying Lizard Motorsports is set for another action-packed weekend as the McLaren Trophy America season continues at Road America. Two weeks after racing at the fan-favorite road course with Lamborghini Super Trofeo, the team is back with one of their two entries in the single-make championship.
The team’s No. 18 McLaren Artura Trophy, driven by Brandon Kreutz and Canaan O’Connell, will take on rounds seven and eight of the championship at the 4.048-mile Wisconsin road course. O’Connell will be racing with extra motivation this weekend, celebrating the recent arrival of his baby girl, the first child for him and his wife, Alyssa.
The weekend marks a one-car entry for the team, as George Lawrence’s car will not compete while he continues his recovery from an incident at VIR. Fans can tune in live to watch the action on YouTube.com/GTWorld, with race one set for Saturday, August 16 at 12:05 PM CT and race two on Sunday, August 17 at 10:15 AM CT.
Road America’s long straights and fast, flowing corners promise of fun competition, and weather could play a key role. While dry and sunny conditions are expected leading up to the event, forecasts call for possible rain on both race days, adding another layer of strategy for the drivers and crew.
With two more opportunities to score valuable championship points, Kreutz and O’Connell will aim to keep their momentum going as the season heads into its final stretch. With three podiums in six races, the pair are still hungry for their first win of their debut season.
