Approximately 10,000 spectators descended upon Grand Bend Motorplex on the August long weekend to enjoy three days of excellent weather and ideal drag racing track conditions as part of the facility’s legendary and long-running WDRA Canadian Nationals event. Will Power started fourth and held off a challenge from Christian Lundgaard to win the NTT INDYCAR Series’ BITNILE.COM Grand Prix at Portland International Raceway, while Alex Palou podiumed to win his fourth title in five seasons, accumulating eight wins in the first 15 events of 2025. | Canadian RacingDriver & Staff Reunion Night Brings Generations Together at Flamboro Speedway On Saturday, August 16, the much-anticipated Driver & Staff Reunion Night, presented by the Flamboro Stadium & Speedway Hall of Fame, took place. The event was the brainchild of track owner John Casale. Dylan Westbrook, Shawn Sliter, Jesse Costa, Dave Bailey, and Wayde Thorne took A-Main victories during last Friday’s Community Night at Ohsweken Speedway. Brent Otchere has the track’s August 15 race report. Racers, officials and fans of the OMRS SportsMods Series gathered at Peterborough Speedway to honour one of their own with the annual Bill Pickford Memorial. Chad Strawn claimed the overall win with back-to-back victories in the twin-features. |
