Deegan Dominates Hangtown With Back-to-Back Moto Wins

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan continued his flawless start to the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, securing his second consecutive overall win at the Michael’s Reno Powersports Hangtown Motocross Classic.

Despite battling illness and soaring triple-digit temperatures, Deegan showcased resilience and determination. “I woke up pretty sick, my throat’s shot. But I dunno – this sport’s mental, man. That’s all. You’ve gotta work hard and that’s basically what I do,” Deegan commented post-race.

The 19-year-old phenom demonstrated exceptional skill, overcoming a slow start in Moto 1 to clinch victory, and maintaining a commanding lead in Moto 2 to finish nine seconds ahead of his closest competitor, Jo Shimoda. With this win, Deegan maintains a perfect 4-0 record in motos and holds a 12-point lead over Shimoda in the championship standings.

The 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship continues with Round 3 at Thunder Valley National in Lakewood, Colorado, on June 7.
