Double-podium weekend in Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway; Danny O’Gara closes gap to championship rivals at a track rich with family history
HOMESTEAD, Fla. — September 11, 2025 — Danny O’Gara scored his first-ever formula car victory today at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series, capping a career-first double-podium weekend and gaining ground on his championship rivals.

This Saturday, September 13 Grandview Speedway will be presenting the last NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series point racing event of the season featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds, the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman, and the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars, in a program that will be sponsored by Advance Auto Parts, the title sponsor of NASCAR’s Weekly Series.
Back-to-Back Days of Racing Will See Top Prospects Compete for Victory on Friday & Saturday, with SMX Next World Championship No. 1 Plate Up for Grabs
Following the postponement of the opening SMX Next World All-Stars race this past weekend in Concord, North Carolina, the elite athletes that comprise the field of prospects contesting the postseason will travel to St. Louis for an action-packed weekend inside The Dome at America’s Center. A two-day doubleheader has been announced for the World All-Stars, with the Playoff 1 race scheduled for this Friday, September 12, followed by the second, championship-deciding Playoff 2 race on Saturday, September 13, run in conjunction with SMX World Championship Playoff 2. The pair of races will determine which athlete will emerge with the SMX Next World Championship No. 1 Plate. Timed qualifying sessions will be held on both Friday and Saturday to set the field for each respective Playoff race.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two races remain in the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, and they’re also both part of the five-race IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. The first six hours of the 16 remaining hours of racing come with the second endurance edition of the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks from the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
With all four WeatherTech Championship classes back in action, the grid expands to 53 cars, split into 12 Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) cars, 12 Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) cars, 11 Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) cars and 18 Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) cars.
STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 11, 2025 – The cutoff race for the NASCAR Cup Series Round of 16 Playoffs will be presented this Saturday, Sept. 13, with the Bass Pro Shops Night Race from Bristol Motor Speedway at 7:30 p.m. ET on USA Network, while the SuperMotocross World Championship continues with the penultimate round this Saturday from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis at 6:30 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The last two races at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway have essentially been Kyle Larson highlight reels and the Playoff driver would like nothing more than to continue that domination in Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race (7:30 p.m. ET on USA Network, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
Earlier this week, the Haas Factory Team, which fields Fords for Cole Custer in the NASCAR Cup Series and Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, announced it would be switching power-plants to Chevrolet in 2026.
With the news coming just as the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs begin Friday in Bristol, Tenn. the drivers were asked if they worried any about Ford’s commitment to the team as it embarks on a title run.
Sheldon Creed is not only eager to get the Playoffs going in his pursuit of an Xfinity Series title. He’s eager to raise his first career race trophy in the series.
This weekend, largely similar Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setups await teams in all three series, as NASCAR heads back to Bristol Motor Speedway for the second time this season.
