A conversation with former road racer RJ Valentine of Hingham, MA revealed that he does not plan to reopen his X1 indoors on Wood Rd. in Braintree and X1 Outdoors on Rt. 18 in East Bridgewater.  Both race venues were very successful until the Pandemic hit motor racing hard.  In the case of the two local X1 go-kart tracks it was a death blow! Reckner Leads Parade of Underdogs to Open Big Weekend at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Elmo Reckner won big on an exciting night of dirt track racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 14, winning the Rutland Regional Medical Center “Healthcare Heroes Night” feature for the headline Sportsman Modified division. Other winners on the night included John Gosselin, Chris Murray, rookie Daryl Gebo, and Kamden Duffy. Corey Bubar Scores First Career Series Win At Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — For the first time in his Granite State Pro Stock Series career, Corey Bubar held the checkered flag at a familiar track on Saturday, August 14. Bubar bested the top competition in the feature races to score the big win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in the second and final stop for Granite State there this season.

It was a good day Saturday for Austin Cindric who won the Xfinity Series race at the IMS road course.  It also was a bad day for Brett Moffit who was steering the Chris Our entry as he broke an axle on his mount and placed 31st.  Cape Cod’s Chris Our is a building contractor and resides in Harwich, MA.

WINCHESTER, N.H. — Strategy was the name of the game in the fourth round of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season at Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, August 14. While Chase Dowling started his day at the back of his qualifying heat and the 100-lap feature, the end of the 100-lap special sponsored by Wonder Casino saw him park the No. 9 Start Finish Motorsports machine in Victory Lane.
