The 2022 racing season at Wiscasset Speedway rolled on this past weekend with a full Group #1 program that included the Sweatt’s Concrete Thunder 4 Minis, Market 27 Super Streets, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Norm’s Used Car Pro Stocks and the NELCAR Legends. Over 80 competitors lined the pits on Saturday for an exciting day of racing.
Another action-packed evening of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and family fun is headed to Riverhead Raceway Saturday June 11th with a School Bus Figure Eight race highlighting a eight division program. The INEX Legend Race Cars will kick off their 2022 Miller Lite Triple Crown Series with a 30-lap feature event with time trial qualifying to set a majority of the field. (more…)
In July type conditions the May Meltdown program was presented Sunday afternoon at Riverhead Raceway feature the first of the Miller Lite Triple Crown Series events for the Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. In the 30-lapper for the Street Stocks Dave Antos of Lindenhurst scored his second win in eight days at the track while the Mini Stock 30 fell to Tony Collinsworth of Calverton. (more…)
Defending NASCAR Modified champion Kyle Soper of Manorville seeking his fourth title in five years got his championship defense off on the right foot, literally Saturday night when he scored a milestone 25th career victory at Riverhead Raceway. N. Woodstock, NH — Over 60 cars were on hand for Saturday’s practice session including two bad-fast winged representatives of the New England Supermodified Series (NESS). The five-hour practice session gave a sneak-peek for the upcoming season with returning veterans and new faces all around the pit area. Following a decades old Long Island racing tradition, Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz are hosting two free to the public practice days at the famed quarter mile with the first session scheduled for this Saturday April 23rd. A second practice day is also set for Sautrday April 30th. Spectators can enter the track via the entrance located behind turn three free of charge to get a sneak preview of the 72nd season of racing at Riverhead that starts Saturday night May 7th. (more…)
