ATTLEBORO, Mass. — NASCAR, JDV Productions and Lee USA Speedway announced on Tuesday that the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will visit Lee on May 21, 2022 for a 175-lap race. Set to be showcased as part of a full Saturday afternoon of racing, the Whelen Modified Tour will return to the New Hampshire oval for the first time in over two decades.
Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) and Modified Racing Series (MRS) will be part of the 60th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have officially announced the additions of both series, which join the Outlaw Open Modified Series Thompson 300 as part a Tour-type Modified tripleheader at the 2022 edition of the annual racing festival.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 3, 2021) – NASCAR today announced 13 races in the 2022 schedule for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, with additional dates and venues to be announced in the future. The schedule features some of the most popular short tracks in the northeast as well as historic tracks in Virginia and Florida.
When defending Islip 300 race winner Ryan Preece of Berlin, Ct. walks through the gates of Riverhead Raceway Saturday November 13th to defend his 2020 race victory, a flood of emotions are bound to come over the popular driver. It will mark the first time that Ryan has strapped back into the Eddie & Connie Partridge owned Tour Type Modified since that fateful Friday night in Richmond, Virginia. Shortly after Preece’s win in the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150 WMT event, triumph turned to tragedy when car owner Eddie Partridge was stricken with a fatal heart attack after leaving the race track for the trip home. The New England fan-favorite NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) has been added to the lineup for New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s (NHMS) 2022 NASCAR race weekend, July 16-17. The modifieds will kick off the race weekend on Doubleheader Saturday, July 16 with a 100-lap race followed by a 200-lap NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race. The NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) will cap off the weekend with a 301-lap race on Sunday, July 17. (more…)
