Pearl, Meyer, Anglace, & Plemons Score Stafford Speedway July 25th Weekly Feature Wins

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to feature racing action with the Limited Late Model division taking center stage with the Riley Generators Limited Late Model 30 on Friday, July 25th. Jason Lafayette was the big winner of the night, scoring his first Limited Late Model win at Stafford Speedway in the biggest race of the season. Lafayette’s victory also scored him a generator courtesy of Dan Riley and Riley Generators. Alexander Pearl was a first time winner in the Stafford Speedway SK Modified® feature after a tight duel with Steven Chapman and Wesley Prucker, Chris Meyer was a first time 2025 winner in the Late Model feature, Nick Anglace was a first time 2025 winner in the SK Light feature, and Aaron Plemons won for the fourth time this season in the Street Stock feature.

Chris Matthews Wins Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down at Stafford Speedway

Flynn, Durand, Cormier, & Plemons Also Score Feature Wins

(Stafford Springs, CT)— Stafford Speedway hosted the extra distance Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down along with Stafford Speedway’s other four weekly divisions as well as a kids big wheel race on Friday, July 11th. Chris Matthews was the big winner of the night, capturing the 40-lap Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down feature for his second win of the 2025 season. Mikey Flynn won the SK Modified® feature for his first win of 2025, Andrew Durand was a first-time 2025 winner in the Late Model feature, Kevin Cormier was another first time 2025 winner in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons was a winner for the third time this season in the Street Stock feature.

Top Modified Talent Gears Up for 80-Lap Showdown at Stafford’s GAF Roofing Modified Masters

(Stafford Springs, CT)—The countdown is on for the GAF Roofing Modified Masters at Stafford Speedway. With just over a week to go the entry list continues to grow, already nearing 30 cars for the Wednesday, July 16, 80-lap Monaco Modified Series event. Headlining the field is NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece, a hometown favorite, who will be joined by a host of the best modified drivers in the country in the chase to take home the checkered flag.

Against All Odds: Dean Lambros Becomes Stafford Speedway’s 700th Different Feature Winner

(Stafford Springs, CT)—As Stafford Speedway approached the historic milestone of its 700th different feature winner, few would have guessed that 20-year-old SK Light rookie Dean Lambros would be the one to etch his name into the record books. Entering the 2025 season, Lambros had made just three starts in the SK Light division, with a best finish of tenth. His racing background consisted mostly of go-karts, Legend Cars with the Korner family and CJ D’Addario of 860 Motorsports, and a handful of races in formula-style cars—hardly the typical résumé of a driver expected to reach Victory Lane so early in their modified career. But Lambros defied the odds on June 27th. Driving Joey Ferrigno’s #67 Wicked Powersports / Skip Barber Racing School modified, he claimed his first SK Light win, and the 700th feature victory in Stafford history, in only his ninth career start.

PJ Evans Wins Midstate Site Development Street Stock 30 at Stafford; Christopher, Gambacorta, Lambros, & Jencik Also Score Feature Wins

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway’s Street Stock division took center stage on Friday, June 27 with their lone extra distance feature event of the 2025 season, the Midstate Site Development 30. PJ Evans was the big winner of the night, scoring his first career Stafford Speedway feature victory in the biggest Street Stock event of the season, the MSD 30. Evans became the 701^st different feature winner in Stafford history just after Dean Lambros notched his first career Stafford feature victory in the SK Light feature and became the 700^th different winner. Other feature winners on the night were Michael Christopher, Jr., who drove to his third consecutive SK Modified® feature win of the season, Kevin Gambacorta in the Late Model feature, and Devon Jencik in the Limited Late Model feature.

Michael Christopher, Jr. Wins CBYD Senator’s Cup; Varricchio, Hovey, Theriault, & Plemons Also Score Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted round 2 of the Tick Mike Triple Crown for its SK Modified® division with the 50-lap Call Before You Dig Senator’s Cup on Friday, June 20^th. The race served as the second of three legs of the TickMike.com Triple Crown and Michael Christopher, Jr. was the winner for the second consecutive week. Christopher’s victory was also his third consecutive victory in the CBYD Senator’s Cup 50-lap feature event. Other feature winners on the night were Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Kyle Theriault in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons in the Street Stock feature. Mikey Flynn Looking For First Win of 2025 in Stafford’s CBYD Senator’s Cup

(Stafford Springs, CT)—As Stafford Speedway’s premier SK Modified® division gets set to tackle its second consecutive extra distance feature event this Friday, June 20th with the CBYD Senator’s Cup, Mikey Flynn and the #24 Ballyheigue Farm team are looking forward to the race. Dating back to the 2024 season, Flynn and the #24 team have recorded 4 top-10 finishes in the last 5 extra distance events held at Stafford, including a third place finish in last week’s 80-lap feature event. Flynn finished 6^th in the 2024 Senator’s Cup 50-lap feature and he feels good about his chances of adding his first victory of the 2025 season in this year’s CBYD Senator’s Cup.

Michael Christopher, Jr. Wins Casella Waste SK 80; Buffone, Hovey, Patnode, & Gleason Also Score Feature Wins at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the Casella Waste SK 80 on Friday, June 13th with Michael Christopher, Jr. taking home the Casella Waste hardware for a second consecutive season. In 2024, Christopher won the race as an Open Modified 80 event and this season as an SK Modified® event. The victory is Christopher’s first of the 2025 season and extends his recent string of success in extra distance, big money events.

Hot Start Has Jon Puleo Primed For Stafford’s Casella Waste SK 80

(Stafford Springs, CT)—One of the hottest drivers at Stafford Speedway in 2025 has been SK Modified® driver Jon Puleo. Puleo and his #7 Mr. Rooter Plumbing / Sign Pro team kicked off the year with a victory in the NAPA Spring Sizzler® and followed that up with a second place effort. Puleo was fighting for the victory when he spun with 4 laps to go in the most recent SK Modified® feature event last Friday night, May 30^th. Puleo’s hot start to the year combined with his love for extra distance racing has him primed for the Casella Waste SK 80, set for this Friday, June 6th at the Connecticut half-mile facility.

Troy Talman Eager to Return to NAPA Victory Lane in Stafford’s Casella Waste SK 80

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After opening the 2024 season at Stafford Speedway with a victory and a second place effort in the first 3 races, Troy Talman and the #3 Casella Waste team have opened the 2025 campaign slightly behind their 2024 pace. Talman and his crew recorded a stellar second place finish after fighting 3-wide with Keith Rocco and Marcello Rufrano last Friday night and they’re eager to return to their winning ways with a victory in this Friday night’s extra distance Casella Waste SK 80.
