CLAREMONT, N.H. – Claremont Motorsports Park closed out the Weekly Racing Series portion of its ambitious 78th season of oval track competition Friday, crowning eight different drivers as champions of their 2025 divisions, no fewer than four of them first timers atop their classes at the historic third-mile speedplant.

Chase Grennan Continues Signature Race Prowess Scoring Clean Sweep Of Cecil Palm Tree 66 At Riverhead Raceway

Riverhead RacewayOne thing is becoming abundantly clear with the budding driving career of 18-year-old Chase Grennan of Glen Cove, the bright spotlight of signature NASCAR Modified events at Riverhead Raceway doesn’t intimidate him at all. In fact, he thrives on them and has been dubbed with the moniker “Big Time”. Saturday, the college freshman set fast time and led all but the first lap of the Cecil Palm Tree 66 for his third win of the season, all Crown Jewel Series events for the Ted Christopher Cup. Add his upset win in the 2024 Islip 300 and the only left for “Big Time” Chase to accomplish is to win a 50-lap weekly event.

Michael Christopher, Jr. Wins TC 13 Shootout at Stafford Speedway(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted USNE First Responder Friday on September 12th with the TC 13 Shootout joining Stafford’s five weekly divisions in feature action.  The SK Modified® division ran their regularly scheduled 40-lap feature as well as the 3rd Annual TC 13 Shootout, a 13 lap race contested between the top-13 finishers from the 40-lap feature.  Michael Christopher, Jr. was the big winner of the night taking home the TC 13 Shootout trophy and the $1,313 to win TC 13 Shootout.

Saturday when the green flag waves over the field to begin the Cecil Palm Tree 66, the usual open wheel excitement will be ramped up with the 2025 NASCAR Modified and Crown Jewel Series Ted Christopher Cup championships hanging in the balance, just the way Eddie Partridge the Modified fan would have loved.

After 100 hardfought laps, Hinesburg’s Derrick Calkins cashed in the $2,000 winner’s share on Vermont Agency of Transportation Night at Thunder Road Thursday. (Alan Ward photo)

Barre, VT – The inaugural $2,000-to-win, 100 lap special for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers certainly did not disappoint on Vermont Agency of Transportation night at Thunder Road. Thirty teams entered the event with only Ty Delphia unable to take the green after fighting mechanical woes all afternoon. It was a spirited side-by-side race at the front of the field starting with Rich Lowrey and Mike Martin at the onset.

Seekonk Speedway Drive For The Cup 2025SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway has a packed weekend of excitement planned September 12-13, with drivers continuing their battle for the championship on both Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday. On top of that, Saturday night is First Responders Night, with free admission for First Responders courtesy of IBEW Local 99, along with the annual Wall of Fame induction. This year, Ronnie Pond, a “Master of Speed” and Johnny Tripp, a multiple-division winner and a former track champion, will both be inducted at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

Guy Caron Wins 50-Lap Richardson Memorial Friday At Claremont

Guy CaronCLAREMONT – N.H. – Guy Caron stormed to victory Friday night at Claremont Motorsports Park, leading the last 29 laps to win the Mike Richardson Memorial main event in the Outlaw Late Models at the Thrasher Road speedplant.

Caron, the reigning Outlaw Late Model division champion, has run only selected races this summer at the third-mile oval but Friday shook the dust off to win the prestigious 50-;lap annual event.

Chris Meyer Wins Paradiso Insurance Late Model 50 at Stafford; Flynn, Hovey, Hydar, & Gleason Also Score Wins

Paradiso Insurance 50, Stafford Speedway(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to weekly racing action with the Late Model division taking center stage with their extra distance Paradiso Insurance Late Model 50 feature event on Friday night, September 5th.  Chris Meyer was the big winner of the night by winning the Paradiso Insurance Late Model 50.  Meyer had the car of Chris Buffone right behind him for roughly the final 35 laps and Buffone actually took the lead from Meyer coming to the white flag, but Meyer was able to retake the lead on the final lap and win the race.  Other winners on the night were Mikey Flynn in the SK Modified® feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Travis Hydar in the Limited Late Model feature, and Brent Gleason in the Street Stock feature.
