ASA Midwest Tour Thunderstruck 93, Elko Speedway, Elko New Market, MN, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025

The ASA Midwest Tour makes its return to Elko Speedway this coming Saturday night, September 20 for the Thunderstruck 93, a race that honors Dan Ryan, Sr., who passed away in 2009 after a 3-year battle with ALS. It’s the Midwest Tour’s 2nd visit in the last two years after a seven season hiatus.
Dan Ryan was a former racer who became a leader amongst the competitors in the pit area and tutored many young drivers as they worked their way through the racing ranks.  The name of the event is named after Ryan’s favorite song, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. There will be a ten-minute break on lap 93 of the ASA Midwest Tour race to honor him.

One of the most anticipated races of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, the Mohegan Sun 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, is on the docket this Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m. ET live on FloRacing.

The race, which serves as the 13th of 16 events on the 2025 calendar, marks the 77th visit by NASCAR’s oldest division to the 1.058-mile oval located in Loudon, New Hampshire. Mike McLaughlin won the first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event held at the track in 1990 and is one of only 24 drivers to win with the series at the track.
