With rain canceling qualifying and practice, Kyle Busch started 21st in the 36 car field. That was good for Ross Chastain; otherwise Busch might have led even more laps on his way to his first victory for RCR.
This was the final race on the current track layout at Fontana and it didn’t disappoint. Cars were racing all over the track but having the lead was important to keep clean air on the nose of the car.

In Saturday’s Xfinity race at Fontana International Speedway Cole Custer won that one. Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT, was also a winning contender, and cracked the top five, in one of Chris Our’s team cars. (more…)
FONTANA, Calif: Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT and his Our Motorsports team threw a “Hail Mary” late in Saturday afternoon’s Production Alliance Group 300 at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway and it nearly led to an upset victory in the second NASCAR Xfinity Series race of the season.
While I don’t think anyone is surprised at Kyle Larson winning in 2022, it is kind of surprising how he won this past weekend at California.
Tyler Reddick looked like he had the car to beat. Until he didn’t.
After taking last season off from visiting Auto Club Speedway due to pandemic restrictions, the NASCAR Cup Series is looking forward to returning to the 2-mile track located just outside of Los Angeles in Fontana, California for the WISE Power 400 on February 27 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Hill posted his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory this past weekend at Daytona but he’s no stranger to winning at the iconic superspeedway. He also posted a win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season-opener in 2019, and now Hill is one of four drivers to win both the Xfinity and Truck Series races at Daytona; joining Kyle Busch, Tyler Reddick and Mike Wallace.
For a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, the 2022 NextEra Energy 250 was rather a tame event all up until about five feet before the White Flag dropped, then chaos erupted.
