LIVE OAK, Fla. (Aug. 22, 2024) – Keen’s Buildings, a leading garage and prefab building manufacturer serving the southeastern United States, is excited to have joined Rick Ware Racing as an associate partner of the No. 51 NASCAR Cup Series team and driver Justin Haley for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 Saturday night at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
Haley, who won the 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400, will drive the No. 51 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the 160-lap race around the 2.5-mile superspeedway. The race goes green at 7:30 p.m. EDT with live coverage by NBC and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
While there is always a heightened level of anxiety when it comes to competing at superspeedways, Chase Briscoe brings a steady hand to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, site of Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Cup Series race. In the season-opening Daytona 500 back on Feb. 19, Chase Briscoe finished a solid 10th, and in the second superspeedway race of the year on April 21 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, Briscoe finished 12th. Living by the time-honored mantra that in order to finish first, first you must finish, Briscoe has set the table for another front-running drive at Daytona. All eyes will be on the Daytona International Speedway as the iconic hallowed grounds will play host to the NASCAR Cup Series penultimate race of regular season, the Coke Zero Sugar 400, this Saturday, August 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90). The World Center of Racing is currently riding a streak of seven different Cup Series winners dating back to 2021 – Michael McDowell (Feb. 2021), Ryan Blaney (Aug. 2021), Austin Cindric (Feb. 2022), Austin Dillon (Aug. 2022), Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (Feb. 2023), Chris Buescher (Aug. 2023), William Byron (Feb. 2024) – making the unpredictability of this event that much more intriguing.
Daytona International Speedway, the 2.5-mile paved superspeedway oval located in Daytona Beach, Florida, has hosted 154 NASCAR Cup Series races since the inaugural event in 1959 – 66 have been 500 miles, 61 were 400 miles and four were 250 miles. There were also 23 qualifier races that were point races. But this weekend marks just the first time the summer race will be the NASCAR Cup Series penultimate race in the regular season. Daytona served as regular season finale from 2020-2023.
Only five races remain in the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season and things are sure to heat up as drivers get ready to race under the lights this Friday, August 23 at Daytona International Speedway for the Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at 7:30 p.m. ET on the USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The 2.5-mile superspeedway, located in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida, has hosted 65 Xfinity Series races, producing 37 different race winners and 44 different pole winners.
Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging team are headed to Daytona International Speedway for Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400, one of the wildest of the wild-card races on the Cup Series schedule.
With the way races usually play out with the draft at Daytona and its sister track Talladega Superspeedway, nearly every driver in the field has as good a chance as any to take a win. GRAF JR. 2024 NXS 2nd Race of Season: The August 23rd race at the Daytona International Speedway will mark Joe Graf Jr.’s 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) 2nd race thus far in the season. Graf Jr. has a total of 9 previous starts at Daytona and scored a top 10 finish in 2023. Graf Jr. will be back at the World Center of Racing this weekend piloting the No. 19 JGR Toyota GR Supra for the first time this year on the two-and-a-half-mile oval course.
RETURN TO JGR: Graf Jr. competed in the full, 33 race NXS season in 2023 where he had three impressive top-10 performances at Daytona, Homestead, and Kansas, highlighted by a best finish of seventh at Daytona. (more…)
Five years after earning his career first NASCAR Cup Series victory in the 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speeway, Justin Haley is set to make his fifth start in the annual summer race at the World Center of Racing. Haley led just one lap, the final one, en route to his win in the weather-shortened 2019 race. When he made his next start the following summer at Daytona, Haley earned a sixth-place result. (more…)
SEIZING THE DAY-TONA: Hendrick Motorsports leads the NASCAR Cup Series in most all-time statistical categories at Daytona International Speedway, including wins (16), poles (23), top-five finishes (63), top-10 finishes (112) and laps led (2,302). On Saturday, the team will look for its eighth win in the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Hall of Famer and vice chairman Jeff Gordon picked up three victories in the summer race at the World Center of Racing with Tim Richmond, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and William Byron each winning once.
