In 2020, the emerging star won a personal best five races, including the season finale at Phoenix Raceway where he out-dueled three of the best drivers in stock-car racing to become the third-youngest champion in NASCAR Cup Series history. Elliott also scored career highs in top-five finishes (15), top-10s (22) and laps led (1,247). KYLE BUSCH – Checking the Final Box
HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (Feb. 4, 2021) – As the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season is set to begin with on-track activities starting Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Kyle Busch has turned his attention to checking the most important remaining box on his career to-do list.
Busch, driver of the No. 18 M&M’S Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), is hoping to check the box of Daytona 500 champion by finally securing the Harley J. Format Announced for 43rd Annual Busch Clash At DAYTONA
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2021) – The format of next Tuesday night’s 43rd Annual Busch Clash At DAYTONA on the iconic DAYTONA Road course will be 35 laps with one scheduled caution set on lap 15, while the starting lineup for the will be determined via a blind draw Monday night on Daytona International Speedway’s Facebook page. Toni Breidinger joins Young’s Motorsports starting at Daytona
MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Young’s Motorsports announced today that female sensation Toni Breidinger has joined the organization to compete in a limited ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule beginning with the 2021 ARCA season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Feb. 13, 2021.
Breidinger, a native of Hillsborough, Calif. will make her first ARCA Menards Series start since 2018 where she competed in three races, earning a career-best 10th place finish in her series’ debut at Madison (Wisc.) International Speedway. (more…)
Beard Motorsports Daytona Advance for Noah Gragson
Beard Motorsports enters this year’s Daytona 500 solemnly but with a tremendous amount of pride in the contributions its founder and president, Mark Beard Sr., made to his family, his friends, his businesses and his favorite endeavor – NASCAR. Mr. Beard passed away on Jan. 31. He was passionate about racing and the businesses he built with his family, and even though he will be terribly missed, his work ethic and kind heart lives on with the many people he influenced. Safety Protocols for the 2021 Daytona 500
The 63rd Annual DAYTONA 500 will play host to a limited number of fans, but The Great American Race will – as it has since 1959 – continue the tradition of the biggest event in all of motorsports, delivering the pageantry, excitement and drama like nowhere else in the world. The reduced venue capacity for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series opener, set for Sunday Feb. 14, as well as all events part of DAYTONA Speedweeks Presented by AdventHealth (Feb. 9-14), is due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and is in accordance with enhanced safety protocols and procedures to provide a safe environment for guests, NASCAR competitors, employees and the local community. NO. 5 HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS TEAM ADDS CINCINNATI INC. AND FREIGHTLINER FOR 2021 NASCAR SEASON
CONCORD, N.C. (Feb. 2, 2021) – Two existing Hendrick Motorsports partners have joined the organization’s No. 5 NASCAR Cup Series team with driver Kyle Larson beginning in 2021.
This season, machine tool maker Cincinnati Inc. and heavy-duty truck manufacturer Freightliner will expand their NASCAR programs to become primary sponsors of the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for two races each and be featured as full-time associate sponsors of the team. (more…)
Corey LaJoie Picks Up Youtheory Sponsorship for Daytona
Youtheory will adorn Corey LaJoie‘s car in the 2021 Daytona 500, Spire Motorsports announced Jan. 26.
The company is also sponsoring the No. 7’s effort at the first event of the season at Phoenix Raceway.
“Youtheory played a key role in helping me continue my driving career as far back as 2016,” LaJoie said in a team release. “It’s a privilege having them back on board for the best Cup opportunity I’ve ever had. I’m eternally grateful to Darren and Patty Rude for their continued support of my career. We’re going to give the Youtheory Ashwagandha No. 7 Camaro a heck of a run in the Daytona 500.”
2021 marks LaJoie’s first season with Spire, as well as the team’s first time running two cars and its first with a full-time driver after running multiple competitors in the No. 77 its first two seasons.
The No. 77 will be driven by Jamie McMurray in the Daytona 500. (more…)
Welcome Back to Racing!
I suppose it’s only fitting that one of my favorite races of the year, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, kicks off what should be one of the most memorable seasons in NASCAR in decades. The addition of new tracks, more road courses and racing on dirt should be enough to keep even sideline NASCAR fans tuned in to see what is going on. (more…)
