Flying Lizard Motorsports Awarded Crew of the Year, Rookie of the Year at SRO America Finale

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (October 8, 2024) – Sunday evening in Indianapolis at the SRO America end-of-the-year awards banquet, Flying Lizard Motorsports concluded their three-series championship efforts with the prestigious award of GT3 Crew of the Year, also with driver Damir Hot receiving the Rookie of the Year award.

“Running multiple cars in multiple classes made for an extremely busy 2024 season,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “Although we did not come away with a championship this year, we had multiple podiums and have great momentum as we go into the offseason. We already have a busy winter testing schedule set up and look forward to the start of the 2025 season.” (more…)

RECAP: Wright Motorsports Crowned GT World Challenge Champions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 7, 2024) – Wright Motorsports made their triumphant return to victory lane on Saturday evening, clinching the Indianapolis 8 Hour race win and securing the GT World Challenge PRO championship. Drivers Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, and Laurin Heinrich delivered a near-flawless performance in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R, earning the first championship title for full-season drivers Adelson and Skeer in dramatic style. The GT World Challenge race victory was the second endurance win in a row for the Wright team. The first came here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 22 capturing the Battle on the Bricks IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class race win. (more…)

IMSA Ford Mustang Challenge from Indianapolis Motor Speedway Begins Tomorrow, Oct. 3, at 1:10 p.m. ET Exclusively on Peacock

Live coverage of the IMSA Ford Mustang Challenge from famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) in Indianapolis, Ind., will be presented this Thursday, Oct. 3, at 1:10 p.m. ET and Friday, Oct. 4, at 1:55 p.m. ET, with both windows exclusively on Peacock.

Thursday and Friday will both include a 45-minute sprint race featuring two classes: Dark Horse and Dark Horse Legends, with the latter being an optional classification eligible to bronze-level drivers 45 years old and over. These will be the first Ford Mustang Challenge races ever held at IMS.

Flying Lizard Prepared to Close out Multi-Series SRO America Season at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 30, 2024) – Two weeks after racing at the Brickyard with their Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America program, Flying Lizard Motorsport is back at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend to close out the year with their multiple SRO America championship efforts. Though not in the championship hunt, the team has four entries competing to finish the season with wins in GT World Challenge America, GT4 America, and GT America.

“2024 has been a great season for many reasons,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “Although we aren’t in a fight for the championship this year, we have had multiple podiums throughout the season in each of the different classes we are entered in and we see so much potential for 2025. Nick Yelloly Joins Flying Lizard Motorsport for Indianapolis 8 Hour

PHOENIZ, Ariz., (September 28, 2024) – The season finale for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America concludes next week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an eight-hour endurance racing event, and BMW works driver Nick Yelloly will join full-season drivers Elias Sabo and Andy Lee in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT3.

“We are very pleased to have Nick joining us for the Indianapolis 8 Hour event,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “BMW has been very supportive of us with this mid-season move to the M4 GT3 and to have a driver of Nick’s caliber and his knowledge of the car will be extremely helpful for us. AO Racing and Rexy Triumphant at Indy with Drive from Last to First

Determined as ever to keep their championship points lead, the team drove an incredible race from last position on the grid to first place, expanding the championship points gap for Rexy, the Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr. Wright Motorsports Kisses the Bricks After IMSA Victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 24, 2024) – Sunday evening at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Wright Motorsports celebrated a win that was a long time coming for the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, and Jan Heylen. The win in the inaugural Battle on the Bricks endurance race marked the first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship win for Adelson and Skeer. The successful result and consistent performance during the race, rocketed the team up from 13th to fourth in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, the endurance championship within the full-season IMSA WeatherTech championship. One race remains in the season, the ten-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, on October 12. (more…)
