Delaney Scores Third Riverhead Raceway Crate Modified Victory In Last Five Starts

Less than 24 hours removed from celebrating a family members wedding Vinny Delaney of East Islip kept the party going Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway when he won a non-stop 25 lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified feature event with many of those family and friends from the nuptials the night before watching on. Vinny is currently the hottest driver in the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at Riverhead winning his third race in five starts since June 20th as a near capacity crowd looked on. (more…)

Kyle Soper Becomes First Riverhead Raceway Repeat Mod Winner

Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway it was a night to remember a Late Model legend in Paul McElearney with a 60-lap Memorial race that saw defending champion Jeremy McDermott turn in a a dominating performance setting fast time and leading all 60-laps in route to his second win of the season.

Kyle Soper Roars To Victory Lane Saturday At Riverhead Raceway

Kyle Soper of Manorville at just 25 years old scored his 20th Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified victory Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway when he raced his way from a 10th starting position to victory in the 50-lap Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event. Soper becomes the sixth different winner in as many races this year in the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds. (more…)

Riverhead Raceway Moves Balwin, Evans and Jarzombek 77 Back One Week….

Much like fielding a race car operating a short track often finds teams having to make changes on the fly to find the right set up. Such was the case for Riverhead Raceway management team who on Tuesday announced adjustments to their 2021 schedule for late July and the first week of August. Chief among those changes is moving back the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 one week to Saturday August 7th. The 77 is the second race of the 2021 in Crown Jewel Series for the Ted Christopher Cup. (more…)

The month of June will come in like a lion at Riverhead Raceway Saturday June 5th as track owners Eddie & Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz have lined up a nine event NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program highlighted by the Jim Kelly Memorial 22 for the Vintage All Stars. Over 200 laps of feature event racing will unfold with the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds set to go to battle in a 50-lap affair. John Fortin Sr. Earns Hard Fought 35th Career Nascar Modified Victory At Riverhead Raceway Saturday Night

It certainly didn’t come easy for former three-time Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified champion John Fortin Sr. of Holtsville Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway but when all was said and done at the conclusion of 50-laps the 57-year-old elder statesman of the division earned his 35th career victory. Afterwards in victory lane Fortin briefly hinted the victory might also be his very last race noting “I want to go out on top, I have to really think about it I’d like to see a young kid in this car” (more…)

Justin Bonsignore Broke Track Record At Riverhead Raceway

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — On Saturday, May 15, at Riverhead Raceway, Justin Bonsignore led 175 laps and finished third in the Miller Lite 200. The third-place finish broke a streak of four consecutive Riverhead wins for the two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion — but the solid finish helped him gain some crucial ground in the point standings in chase of a third title. With summer like conditions greeting the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway there was plenty of hot action on track too prior to the Miller Lite 200 WMT event. A total of 90 cars spread across four divisions joined the 26 WMT entrants pit side. Second generation driver Matt Brode scored his first win of 2021 when he won the 25-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified feature event. (more…)
